Ibrahim Niane of Metz..

Post by YUJAM »

Seems to be lighting up the French league like we haven’t seen in a long time. He played in the U20 for Senegal and comes from their Gen Foot academy.

He scored a hat trick today and scored a towering header vs Marseille last week. He is on six out of four so far this season.

We’ll see what the future holds but the type of goals he’s scored and his recent scoring clips all point to a really bright future for this lad.

Niane is 3rd degree Ghanaian. No?

I wonder why he was not called up to Senegal squad given some of the wastepipes they are parading.

Senegal doesn't have CF. The coach invited Habib Diallo (who coincidentally played at Metz) but is now at Strasbourg but I view him as an average player at best. Niang was so bad at the ANC people said someone put juju on him. But IMO he was just that bad. Anyway he's refuse to accept call-ups for the NY after his disgraceful performance at the ANC which leaves Cisse with a few option. To his defense though, maybe he made up this list before the emergence of Niane which would explain why he's been omitted from the latest list
