Iwobi needs more playing time.
It has clearly clicked for him. His first touch has improved and his decision making is top notch.
That nutmeg he almost pulled off towards the end was pure Jay-jay esque.

With Richardison out with the red card, he needs to start.
Good game

And it would have been completely true."

I like his aggression lately. I hope he continues like this.

Re: dropping Gomes, for what? Their team is well balanced and they have not lost a game, why change the balance?

James is more effective in the middle, I prefer James Allan and Dacoure as the midfield 3...Iwobi, Richalison and Calvin as the front 3

In my opinion, he should start ahead of Richarlison. But I don’t think that would happen if Richarlison is available. What Iwobi needs to tip the scales in his favor is monster goal.

Ancelotti will not bench a player who scores for one who rarely scores. Iwobi needs to be 10plus goal season to starter.

You may be right but I’ve watched them many times this season. Iwobi is more of a creator while Richarlison is an average striker alongside a world class one (Calvert-Lewin). The coach may opt for a creator over the average striker but Richarlison is more high profile and I think Iwobi can tip the scales in his favor with a monster goal.

Alex Iwobi Sends two Liverpool Stars for a Kebab with Outrageous Skill

Alex Iwobi has not had an easy time of things at Everton, but he showcased his incredible skills during the Merseyside derby.

After signing from Arsenal for £35million in 2019, Iwobi has struggled to hold down a place in the first team at Goodison Park.

However, the Nigeria international made an eye-catching cameo against Liverpool and capped his display with an outrageous piece of skill in the closing stages.

He appeared to have taken the ball into a dead end, with Andy Robertson and Georginio Wijnaldum crowding him out on the right-wing.

But, Iwobi flipped the script on the Liverpool pair. Turning his back to them, he pulled a unique-looking flick to take both players out of the game. Perhaps feeling ridiculed, Robertson promptly fouled the midfielder.

Ancelotti takes the blame for this L. Regardless of how he felt about Iwobi, he needed to start Iwobi and Benard as creative support for Calvert Lewin... as opposed to Gomez & Gilfy.

The best chances for Everton were created by Iwobi who only came on after 76 mins. Anyway welcome to life at the top.
