Liverpool XI: Adrian, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson, Fabinho, Thiago, Henderson, Mane, Salah, Firmino

Subs: Kelleher, Wijnaldum, Milner, Gomez, Jones, Minamino, Diogo Jota

Good line up. Matip needed to help negate the aerial threat from Everton. Henderson back and Tiago starting. Good bounce back needed. Let’s go RedMen! YNWA....

How is Pickford still on the pitch. VVD was deemed offside but that was reckless. We played better than them. Every guy on the pitch for us played well.

What is a goal? I mean in the context of the VAR driven EPL.

I must have a problem with my eyesight, but how on earth is that offsides?

Liverpool, European Champions 2005.

We watched this very boring video, 500 times, of Sacchi doing defensive drills, using sticks and without the ball, with Maldini, Baresi and Albertini. We used to think before then that if the other players are better, you have to lose. After that we learned anything is possible – you can beat better teams by using tactics." Jurgen Klopp

Not even sure how VVD was adjudged offsides in that play...

No longer title favorites. Van Diijk is a major loss.
Winners do it the right way.

Wow, no Allison and VVD? Those are their best players.
It's going to be tough.
At least they now have Thiago.

You go wait tire. He only shows up when Pool wins like his twin bro yeye-spastic used to do when City was wining the league.

Extent of the recovery period is not yet determined, but it will be for several months.

Will be interesting to see how the team evolves to address the loss of a major cog...

Was always a risk not to replace Lovren.

Should be interesting to see now what happens with the kid Billy Kumetio, and whether he'll get any opportunity...

Horrible news. Players do get injured but tackles like Pickford should be punished more. You don’t lunge with both feet at another player. Horrible. We have to find a defender in January. Hope Gomez and Matip both stay fit which is asking a lot

Squad game. Peperempe made the same mistake the year prior, placing all his chips on Laporte’s invincibility. Matip and Gomez will have to manage, will be an enjoyable watch.
