I will pay my respect to Suya through images.

Image
I met Suya in person for the first time in 1999 when CE through Hardman organized purchase of tickets to watch the Falcons versus Denmark at Jack Kent Cooke Stadium in Landover, MD, a game we won by 2 nil.

Image
Robbynice, Suya, and Pa J at this bar by MCI Center (now Capital One Arena) where it was one of the few places to watch the ANC in the 1990s.

Image
Suya led a CE campaign to raise fund for my school in the village.

Image
Ayo's visit to DC brought a contingent of us CEs to this Ghanaian restaurant, in NW DC.

Image
OC and his Madam also visited

Image
Suya at EII's book launching at Howard University.

Image
Suya before departing permanently to Nigeria asked me to come up with a cover for his book, "The Distant Son". He didn't use it but I was delighted to be asked to contribute an idea for his memoir.

Really devastating news, very sad, one of the pillars of CE, feel like we've lost a big part of our history on here

It's exactly how I feel. I read this only a few days ago and have been unable to post here fearing doing so would make it a reality.

This year is just a ghastly mess.

I'm devastated by this loss

Such a great guy
Had my back
When I did not post in weeks
He opens a thread
Where is Megapro?

Big man
May your soul rest in perfect peace in the bosom of the Lord till we meet to part no more
And may your family find the fortitude to bear the loss

Its been a couple of months since I last logged into Cybereagles only to find out one of the cornerstones of this forum going back to the days of Allard (original owner) and the WC of 98 which I attended due to the help and assistance of the likes of Suya et al has passed on. His infamous calls to the SA embassy anytime the eagles or Falcons were triumphant were a thing of legend and much hilarity. His numerous battles with other cornerstone members on this forum were classic interchanges. I remember his book launch and when he decided to leave the US and return to home to Nigeria and now this.

I am heartbroken,we have lost a family member, may he rest in perfect peace. SUYA, thank you for the memories!!

Rest In Power Suya. Great guy, he made this forum one of the best in Africa and welcomed most of my Ghanaian bredas here. Remember so well the running battles between myself and Ruff4Life representing Ghana against Suya, Paa J, Deanitoto etc
Condolences to his family. We've lost a giant.
