Musa Set To Join West Brom
7 January 24, 2021 3:17 pm
Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa is set to join Premier League club West Bromwich Albion on a permanent deal, reports Completesports.com.
The 28-year-old has not been attached to a club since leaving Saudi Arabian outfit Al Nassr in October 2020.
According to Daily Mail, the Baggies have requested a visa for the winger and booked him in for a medical on Wednesday.
It has been suggested that Sam Allardyce is looking for a deal until the end of the season.
Capped 95 times by Nigeria, Musa’s career has stalled since he left CSKA Moscow in 2016. Having scored 55 goals in 167 appearances for the Russians, he joined Leicester City in the summer of that year.
Things did not work out at the King Power Stadium, as the African made just seven league starts from 21 outings. He joined after the Foxes had claimed the Premier League title and hoped to be part of something special.
But he was loaned back to CSKA for the second half of the 2017-18 campaign. He was then sold to Al Nassr in January 2019 and played 62 times in all competitions before being released.

Interesting move.
Looks like Wolves want him. So looks like he’s back in the midlands regardless.
Even my grandmother who passed away in 1986 would improve this West Brom team. He’d definitely get playing time.

His handlers here such as the Kongi the CE Eedioit want us to believe that. I follow Musa on instagram and he is doing everything under the sun but play active football. The guy should just retire.

Westbrom has nothing to lose; it’s a move better than nothing
make peaceful change impossible make violent change inevitable.

Re: Musa Set To Join West Brom
Everybody slow down. Who else is reporting this besides Complete Sports? Why would a club that’s about to be relegated invest in an expensive player like Musa? If Musa is still a credible professional football player, why would he want to go to a club that’s about to be relegated? These are all legitimate questions
Cheers.
Cheers.

I’m saying West Brom are really bad. Is that hating?
As for Musa, I’m a fan and pretty sure he’ll do well there.
Even Wolves, a much better team play a game Musa could thrive in.
The news is being reported fairly widely so fingers crossed for him.

Re: Musa Set To Join West Brom
Either West Brom or Fulham will be a good deal for Musa. Although I prefer Fulham. Better than being clubless.
Hope they don't play him on the wings like most managers have done because of his pace. If they do they won't get the best out of him like during his Leicester days.

Re: Musa Set To Join West Brom
If anything his pace will really come in handy for Westbrom since they are a "park the bus/counter attacking" team.

Re: Musa Set To Join West Brom
He had more pace when he flopped last time, not hating but just saying that pace may not be enough...hopefully they deploy him as a striker so he can play on the shoulder of the last man to use his pace and finishing, but trying to play him on the wings or as a link up player will likely have similar results as his Leicester stint.Tobi17 wrote:If anything his pace will really come in handy for Westbrom since they are a "park the bus/counter attacking" team.
