Fulham manager Scott Parker has showered encomium on Ademola Lookman following his performance against Tottenham Hotspur in Wednesday’s Premier League game.

The Nigerian forward has been delivering fine displays since he teamed up with the Craven Cottage outfit in the summer on a season-long loan from German club RB Leipzig.


Lookman was afforded his 13th Premier League appearance for the Cottagers against the Lilywhites and again made a telling impact in the encounter.

The forward was brought on in the second half of the game as a replacement for Kenny Tete and helped his side avoid defeat.

Lookman provided a key assist for Ivan Cavaleiro to cancel out Harry Kane’s first-half opener and ensured his side ended the match with a share of the points.

Fulham boss Parker has expressed his delight with the contribution of the Nigerian star against Jose Mourinho’s men.

"After the Covid-19 problems, he came on and showed his quality. He helped the team with the assist and boosted his chances with us," Parker told BBC Sports.

"The second half, the way the game was going I felt the second goal was coming. You have someone on the pitch there like Ademola Lookman who carves chances out of nothing.”

Lookman has now made 15 appearances for Fulham since joining the Premier League club, scoring two goals and providing three assists.

Despite the draw against Tottenham, the Craven Cottage outfit remains in the bottom three with 12 points from 16 games.

Lookman will be expected to continue his fine form when Fulham square off against Chelsea in their next Premier League match on Saturday.

The forward played for Charlton Athletic before joining Everton in 2017 and spent two years with the side.

Fulham ace Tosin was a £2million bargain buy from Manchester City
Tosin, 23, has been a revelation since Scott Parker snapped him up from Manchester City in October and will be one of the first names on the team sheet when they host Chelsea on Saturday.

The £2million Fulham paid Manchester City in October is turning out to be the bargain of the season.

Here are some superlatives used by fans to describe his form on social media: “Class”, “Fantastic”, “Faultless”, “A beast”, “Commanding” and, maybe slightly over-enthusiastically “World’s best defender!"

But his calm and mature performances have helped the Cottagers put together a run of just one defeat in their last seven Premier League games.

So what does Tosin make of all the plaudits?
He said: “I’ve just finished reading a good book called Ego Is The Enemy. It’s all about the evils of having a big ego.

His performance in the 1-1 draw at Tottenham on Wednesday was exceptional.

Asked how much practice he puts into timing such tackles to perfection and remains so calm under pressure, Adarabioyo is typically modest.
He told me: “It’s just instinct and experience. Other than practicing sliding tackles, it’s not something I prepare.
“It’s my style of play. That’s how I enjoy playing football.
“I would say the calmness is more my style of life.
“I’m mature naturally. It’s hard to describe but I’d say I’m very relaxed and don’t get stressed by anything.
“But I prefer talking about the team. People are starting to look at Fulham as a side that can beat anyone.
“We’re starting to get the respect we deserve.”

Tosin has excelled in a back three that gave Fulham a mean streak.
He is not wrong there. The West Londoners lost seven of their opening nine Premier League matches – but since Scott Parker switched to a back three of Tosin, Joachim Andersen and Ola Aina they have been rock solid.
In their five straight draws – a run that included points against Liverpool, Spurs and Southampton – they have kept two clean sheets and only conceded three goals.

And Tosin said: “Since we went to a back three, everyone seems to know what they’re doing and we’ve got players in the right positions to show their strengths.”
But he knows Fulham must start turning draws into wins.

“My goal stats were average growing up through the youth ranks at Manchester City.
“But I do find myself getting on the end of a few free-kicks and corners and just haven’t been able to direct them on target.

And he added: “He demands the best and is a joy to play for.

Removing Lemina instead of Loftus Cheek during this game will probably be one of the single most influential decision in Fulham's expected relegation. It's a shame really, but what do you expect - all of them are either rejects of Chelsea, Man City and Everton or championship level players. It is annoying really.

I read people raving about Tosin Adarabioyo. Fine. I have my misgivings about that kid. Yes, he played for City but there is a reason City could not get more than $2 million in a deal for that him. You may want to watch his game. You get the idea that his ceiling is not that high. Really aggravating is his tendency to always go down while tackling. In my view, when a defender does that a lot it is a red flag and a penalty lurking nearby. He really has to get rid of those lounging tackles, IMHO.

Prof, is this based on just one game? I didn't watch today's match so i guess he had a bad game today. But from what i have watched from severally games this season he, Aina & Andersen ( the back 3) have been top notch. I guess everyone is due a bad game from time to time. The reason Fulham are where they are is because save from Lookman, their forwards are very poor, hence a wingback is their top scorer.
