Re: When I said LOOKMAN was useless

Lookman has improved a lot. He was average at Fulham. Both he and Aina are the most moved SE since their debut for Nigeria. Having said that, Bret Fart should be booed for saying he was overrated 2018. :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: Kongi don pick race. Same at SE. I did not consider him...

Re: Adarabioyo completes switch of allegiance?

For me, this player is worth the wait. Early on in his career, I felt he was rash going down with multiple tackles. Those led to concession of unnecessary fouls. Now he has matured and his pace and energy is at the fore. Hopefully, he chooses Nigeria soon enough.

Lookman and Boniface: Focusing on SE output.....

Both Victor Boniface and Ademola Lookman have both taken Europe by storm wearing their club shirts. That clearly puts them in the running for AFOY. In my opinion, and given criteria used by CAF they are both going to be top contenders. My personal opinion is that CAF should not be using performance ...

My view is that these victories should not be major consideration for AFOY. The biggest question should be what you do in an Africa...

Re: Afcon 2025 moved to December

Like I said, we are looking at all this strictly as fans. For us, we are the most important ‘player’ in all this. This is all about our entertainment. But has anyone ever asked what another important player - the professional African footballer himself - would prefer? It’s their livelihood after al...

Re: Name your SA/Benin squad

I believe that Finidi George has a clear idea on how Nigeria’s team should be structured going forward. He showed a glimpse of it in the two international friendlies under his charge. Although he was short of pertinent personnel for those two games, but his ideas are clear. In summary, as he has no...

Re: “There was chaos” – Amokachi advised to support Finidi, avoid a repeat of Amunike-Eguavoen disaster

There's absolutely no reason to appoint Amokachi as Finidi's assistant. His huge overflated ego may not allow him listen to Finidi. These are the type of assistants that will plot the downfall of the main coach so that they can take over. For me, it's a wrong appointment. If they must appoint one f...

...and it's not like they generate a lot of revenue every 2yrs of the show. Mcal The most recent version did but that should be, increasingly, the goal going forward. There were losses under Ahmad but this recent AFCON generated much more. The actual figures are 300% increase in revenue from last A...

Gotta admit, even though I am not a fan of Amuneke - the person - it seems someone is out to destroy him and his reputation. I wonder why I really want SE to do well again. Finidi has a fantastic football mind. I am pumped about his era. Amokachi and co will get their turn…supporting finidi would b...

There will be plenty of work for Amokachi to do. But if I am Finidi I will closely watch him. The guy was as an advisor to Buhari. He has a lot of political friends. Benjamin James would be my first assistant. But I will make sure Amokachi is involved not sidelined like Yobo. Ohenhen1 You have stat...

Re: Fatigue a concern for Bafana in huge World Cup clashes against Nigeria, Zim

The truth is that the South Africans are toughened by varied competition in the continent as the SE found out at the last AFCON. Aa the piece notes, majority of the players play for Mamelodi Sundowns, a top level African club for years. They are a mean unit with pacy players and a dangerous setpiece...

The problem with that is you may struggle to keep the assistants for a reasonable amount of time if they are not properly compensated Not really. For two reasons: 1. These assistants are not "appointed" by the NFF. They are guys who Finidi hand-picked. So clearly, these are his friends wh...
