Sangare also argues that Diatta failed to play out the full four minutes of injury time, depriving them of the chance to score a late equaliser which could have qualified them for their first ever World Cup. Re: U-17 African teams in UAE
African teams usually do well in grade-age competitions, the problem is that it never carries over into senior competitions, where it really matters. It really highlights the lack of development and progression from youth to professional football. The talent is there, African FA's just need to ensur...

on that note which African team don chop (concede) the most goals in the WC? Not surprisingly, Cameroon, who has a record six World Cup appearances, has conceded the most number of goals in the WC, giving up 34 in 20 matches. However, if we look at the number of goals conceded per match, DR...

Making any excuses would just be silly. Ghana is obviously the superior team and the superior African rep in Brazil. Big thanks to Bob Bradley for everything he's done for us despite today's debacle. No manager in their right mind would have endured what he did in Egypt and we would have lost to Gh...

All 4 games were filled with passion and verve. Much better than the boring CONCACAF and CONMEBOL games we've been watching all these years. Impressive start for BEIN Sports and massive kudos to them for stepping outside their comfort zone. African football showed that for passion and color is seco...

Like I said, I thought it was a hand-ball .. it was just a question of whether it was inside or outside the box, so just one mistake not two

Ivory Coast better hope that that last goal will not come back to haunt them. It's criminal to give up an away goal at the end of injury time when you're winning 3-0. They went from a guaranteed place in next year's World Cup to hoping they don't concede a quick goal in the return leg. I still expec...

The Belgian coach did not make any major changes to his squad, keeping the majority of his group in tact. The only notable di...

Don't let the names of the clubs fool you, we're an average African team at the moment and a lot of players are not playing regularly for their clubs. Nevertheless, I still think we're slight favourites to advance against Burkina Faso, especially with the return leg at home.Sir V wrote:Their team is solid.
