Re: U17 team crisis- Manu Garba having problems
First of all history is a great teaching tool. The last several screening has had high failure rate. I am not condoning the age cheating. The problem is the hiring of a coach 1 month before the tournament. A country that knows historically there is a high failure rate waits to the last minute to con...

Re: U17 team crisis- Manu Garba having problems
The MRI test is not 100 percent correct all the time. There are false positives. The blame is the NFF. Appointing a coach 1 month before an event. Waiting untill the last minute to do MRI tests. Normally the MRI tests are done much earlier to get eligible players for campaign. It takes time to teac...

The clause should be like contract until after WC or Afcon. There should be a start and end date.

U17 team crisis- Manu Garba having problems
I am not going to blame Manu Garba for the mess. This has got to be the worst NFF in NIgeria history. It continues to get worse. My hope was for them to improve. Ebe like say they are declining. Imagine NIgeria don't even have a team to present. The list is due on May 6. Competition starts on May 15...

Re: The NFF should give Finidi a contract that will end after the WC 2026
Clauses like Peseiro must coach at Afcon. Semifinal targets is why we are in this current mess. Afcon was postponed to 2024. NFF was afraid or pretended to be affraid that if they fired him in July when his contract expired they would be in breach of his contract. So they negotiated a pay cut and br...

What will happen if Finidi decides he wants a huge pay increase after Afcon ? Will we be left without a coach again ?

Re: The NFF should give Finidi a contract that will end after the WC 2026
I think the NFF legal department have pre printed contracts and they don't change it. That reaching semifinals of Afcon clause is in thepre printed contract that they offer to SE coaches. Change is not easy.

The NFF should give Finidi a contract that will end after the WC 2026
Own goal is spreading a rumor that it is going to be a 1 year contract with option for an extension based on reaching semifinals of AFCON. This stupid nonsense clause don come again. What if Afcon is posponed again what will they do. If I were Finidi I would reject that clause. I will want a standar...

Re: Finidi's job as SE coach seems temporary.
The guy is barely into his tenure. They are already plotting how they go fire him and get some one else. So how long is his tenure? You can’t fire someone you didn’t hire in the first place. Was Peseiro treated better than Finidi early in his tenure? That is all the evidence you need for the existe...

Re: Here we go again: Open camp of SE to local talent-Finidi's first move
He has already unearth them. The camping is to see how they respond to his coaching. Also builds depth.
The coach will no longer depend on foreign based players. More players available for selection. It was stupid to ignore your own league. All past World Cup winners have good local leagues.

Re: Here we go again: Open camp of SE to local talent-Finidi's first move
GEORGE, WOLVES AT THE DOOR It only took the hiring of a Nigerian by the NFF for a Nigerian job which is paid for by Nigerians to bring them out of the woodwork. How dare the NFF. How else do you explain starting a thread to upbraid the new coach for the allegedly wasteful and unproductive act of op...

Finidi can’t do it alone. He needs support. This statement if true is counter productive.

Good move, you also need a CHAN team. You never know there might be a hidden gem.
