Re: European Teams at the World cup 2022

The top African and Asian teams can compete with the the European and South American teams once you exclude the top 5 or 6 European teams and Brazil/Argentina. Unfortunately the dominance of these 8 teams or so is used to justify the places allocated to European and South American teams. The 48 tea...

His best England game. I was surprised that Southgate removed him (unless he was injured). France had no answer to the bobo.
It was a mistake to remove Saka. He was having a great game.

France vs England 2017 with Harry Kane, Mbappe (very young he was 18), a great Ousmane Dembele, Giroud etc Final score : 3-2 for France with 10 players (Varane had received a red card)

France vs England will be a good game to watch. Senegal showed nothint today. But without Sadio and Idrissa Gueye it was going to be difficult. And they were to naive.

The only silver lining is that it may force out the likes of Scolari and a reversion to the old familiar ways of Brazilian football, the samba style. Obviously this sanitized version of Brazil hasn't done the business. I'd rather have the 1982 team and lose than this rubbish Scolari is putting in f...

Re: Only 1 (ONE) African Team to Progress to 2nd round

In WC history it's very difficult for teams that lost their first game to recover and qualify. And after 2 games if you still haven't recorded a win then it's pretty much impossible to get out of the group. CIV is more or less through already because Greece and Japan lost their first games and are ...

Re: Africa should really be ashamed

FIFA should think about taking one or two spots away from Africa. We have a very long way to go. Why two spots ? There are good teams in Africa. Ghana was almost a semi-finalist for years ago, and can still qualify. Nigeria has an average team, but can reach the second round. CIV is the best africa...

I dont think Gabon can maintain the momentum... Small pikin e cutlass di sharp for morning. By when they hit the 4th game (quarters) they will be exhausted.. and guess what: they will have to go up against 1 of Ghana, Mali, or Guinea.
