Re: AFCON - Parity or Big Teams Slacking
Tournament footy resulting in parity but the weather might be a factor.
Algeria, Egypt and Tunisia didn’t qualify for the World Cup playoffs until their respective last games. Home and away ties tend to favor the traditional heavyweights.

Re: Is Senegal overrated????? and the likes of Nigeria undermined by pundits?
I think Mali will finally lift the AFCON. If they don’t, they will make it to the WC. They are a very dangerous team.

Chief, I said maybe. The discussion is Awoniyi vs. Osihmen. The bottomline is that Awoniyi belongs in the team.

Re: Awoniyi vs. Osimhen - Statistical Review
The things Awoniyi does well are miles ahead of Osihmen. He can play back to goal and hold up play better than any striker of late. However, his finishing is not there yet. Just watch Simon’s goal again. Osihmen is much better overall. Osihmen is more of a poacher. He 100% belongs in the team. Below...

Seyi Olofinjana calls for Nigeria 'football philosophy'
https://www.bbc.com/sport/africa/59780208 NFF president Amaju Pinnick has often said one of his targets is to change the face of football in Nigeria, and in 2020 he approached Olofinjana about technical director's role. But he rejected the job, which was filled by Eguavoen. "It was difficult, b...

Re: AFCON 2022 Draw
It was definitely set up to protect Cameroon as host. I am assuming the same would be done for any host in the continent. I think that group is the toughest because it's the most even, anyone of them can win that group. When you have 4 equally useless team in a group you never know what can happen....

Re: African football body Caf in disarray, audit reveals
FIFA took over CAF immediately after the ANC. These issues might date back to Hayatou but also, covers the current management. This is really bad and embarrassing regardless of how we spin it. Infantino is gutting CAF. An organization handling millions is being run like a parking garage. At least ex...

Tottenham have sacked head coach Mauricio Pochettino after five years in charge of the Premier League club. The former Southampton boss, 47, was appointed in May 2014 and led the club to the Champions League final last season, where they lost to Liverpool. But Spurs have made a disappointing start t...

Me too. All that screamed at me was the financial killing Genk made, bought him for 100k sold him for 15 whooping Milla. They should give him the key to the city where the Genk football club is located and also make him a director for life at the club. What a deal! I hope some of that trickled down ...

Listened to a few minutes of it .... but I couldn't take more than a few minutes. He sounds like some dude calling a radio station and just making stuff up. I don't know whether the presenters were just humouring him or if they really believed he and Arsene Wenger talk on the phone all the time ......

Former Green Eagle....Enyimba Coach?
Does anyone know about Robert?
He mentioned being a former Green Eagle. He was signed by Chelsea in the 60's but loaned to another team. He used to play for Enugu Black Rocks (Rangers).

They have consistently called the same as a pk throughout the tournament. It was called against SA versus Spain. It was called against Norway versus France. In fact, there was barely any contact for the Norway - France call and it was still called a pk. Btw on Friday, Referees were instructed to sto...
