Re: Gareth Southgate has picked a 27-man squad for June's games with Hungary, Germany and Italy
Maddison peaked too late, by then, Leicester were out of everything. The last four or five games were stat packed for Jim but the many no-shows in the bleak midwinter, showed him to be more Thomas Frimpong than Tommy Shelby.

Correct. 20m. Fabinho 40 odd. Big Naby somewhere in the 50s. Chequebooks open left, right and centre. It’s their birthright.

Swings and roundabouts. Phil Foden is the same age as Curtis Jones. One will go to the World Cup, one will play World Cup on FIFA. Advocates of either will find feathers for their favoured’s cap. As some do with fullbacks, others do with midfielders. Fabinho, Thiago, Keita, all upwards of 30 million...

@Piff, it’s call Naijitc thinking, “One’s success is a produce of their surrounding”. Guardiola’s achievements are formalities given his workings solely amongst the upper echelons. When last did he take a Crapingham Rovers to the pinnacle of Europe? When last did he procure a bungling oath from the ...

@Ohen, Beloved can sleep easy as far as Bukayo and Smith-Rowe are concerned, neither are at the consistent game changer level that the upper echelons are looking for. Should they wish for a move beyond the EPL, maybe, but City, Chelsea, Liverpool will go nowhere near them for the time being.

Ezeigbo Madu scores. A goal worth half of the 100 million squandered. 2-1, City odds on. Put a couple more quid on the Hammers.

Re: Liverpool - Football Thread
It is finished. Pep knows they need a point here. Liverpool will put 6 or 7 past Soton and with Wolves out of the running for Europe, another 4 or 5. Bungled the starting lineup. No protection for Papa Fernandini-old and a Jack Grealish lost in translation. Biggest 45 of the season here. Think the H...
