Re: Ejuke showcases Okocha-like ability in Belgium: Time to replace subpar Chukwueze?
@Damunk, the art of dribbling has the unrehearsed, impromptu at its heart. As entertaining as this is for the audience, most managers/coaches keep a wide berth from such players. The impromptu adds an element of chaos in age where order is the demand. Anthony, Mudryk, Adama Traore; Newcastle cuttin...

Re: I have a shortlist of five for the Super Eagles head coach job
[1] Herve Renard [2] Jose Mourinho [3] Jurgen Klopp [4] Zinadine Zidane [5] Jurgen Klinsman Here are the conditions I would attach to their employment: [1] Nigeria's head coach must watch at least 20 local league games a season [2] He must have at least three locals coaches on his technical team [3...

Re: Where is all the anger coming from?.... A moment to recall and to say Thank You to SE
TODAY, my heart bleeds…. Today, my heart bleeds not because Nigeria lost in the championship game to Ivory Coast. It bleeds because of the rabidity of Nigerian football fanhood and what amounts, often, to senseless attacks neither supported by results nor bolstered by a clear outline for the future...

Re: Big ups to Terem Moffi
The most important thing he did in the game was not scoring the penalty but running to meet Aina to console him after the miss. I noticed a few selfish people here making disparaging comments against Aina because he missed the penalty, forgetting we wouldn't have been in the semi-final without Aina...

Shouldn't we just focus on winning? Who cares who lifts the cup? What if there is no cup to lift?

Re: My concern about the SA game.
My concern about the SA game is that they have booby traps planned for us. I hear they have some data crunchers working on all our games to evaluate our weaknesses. I assume we are doing the same to them. I still have flashbacks of them coming to Nigeria and beating us ( or was it a vital draw?) man...

Re: Kudos to CAF Presidet, Dr. Patrice Motsepe
Expanding the AFCON to enable East African countries to qualify has been a masterstroke. East African countries put up a good fight in the group stage to try to prove they belong in the tournament. This made the tournament entertaining eventhough they were quickly put in their place by West African...

THIS IS NOT A PROPHECY OOOO, SO DON'T SHOOT ME IF IT DOESN'T HAPPEN. Have you noticed that our jersey is partially made of our traditional adire ? if my memory supports me right (i could be wrong), the last time we wore such a jersey was in Tunisia '94 and we won the cup. is it going to happen agai...

Re: Is there a More Consistent AFCON Team than Nigeria?
As fans of the SE, you should not be satisfied with semi-final appearances. A nation with as much wealth and footballing talents like Nigeria should have more than 2 ACN titles to her name. Suffice to say, Nigeria has been perennial under-achievers at the ACN. True. We have 3 but I see your point.

Shhhhhh I prefer to fly under the radar here.... Having said that Im scared of Angola and Guinea...and Ivory coast has an axe to grind We have some solid quarter finalists.. Re: We’re the strongest team left.
Scary for me is the regularity with which "top ranked" teams have been tumbling from the tournament. I thought Senegal vs Ivory Coast, Egypt vs DR Congo and Morocco vs South Africa were obvious wins for Senegal, Egypt and Morocco respectively. See all the egg I have been wiping from my fac...

Scary for me, with the regularity with which top ranked teams have been tumbling down from this tournament. I did not see mighty Morocco falling to South Africa.
