Re: Sports Minister In Talks With Peseiro Over Super Eagles Return

Never a good idea to bring a coach back who is no longer interested in the team. At this point, I would prefer Amunike over Peseiro. BTW, his name changed again??? Amunike > Amuneke > Amunike. I always remembered the dude as Amunike. But a few years back, when he was coach of Tanzania, it became Amu...

Re: WHO WILL RESCUE Nigeria from the World Cup ABYSS that a foreign Manager put us?.........

A recent AFCON finalist quacking in its boots because of Rwanda and South Africa? South Africa was our only competition, but they're notoriously inconsistent, as they've already proven with just two games played. I expect even an average coach to top the group unless there are other deeper issues w...

Pinnick completely jinxed Finidi. :rotf:

The last thing the current NFF administration wants is influence from the last NFF chairman.

Only Osimhen. Boniface is a potential candidate. We need to see how his career unfolds.

Re: It is April 7th, the NFF still have not named a coach for the SE

Nff is in serious financial trouble, they owe way more than the $5m they received for Afcon, even 10B that was supposed to be paid by the govt is yet to be remitted to the nff. Players and coaches are still owed for 23 games dating back to 2021 , means they still owe Rohr and his assistants too. As...

Re: AIRPEACE CEO Allen Onyema Threatens NFF Over Hiring of an FC.....

The man is talking rubbish. Firstly, on what legal basis would he sue the NFF? Secondly, let him take a look at his senior technical crew for his airline and tell us the ratio of Nigerians to foreigners. What are the foreigners doing in there? :rotf: I would certainly like to see that. I'm sure the...

Re: That layoff by Iwobi to Lookman for the 2nd goal

A bit of hyperbole here. It was an OK assist Yup. I was expecting to see something spectacular, but it was just an ordinary pass to an unmarked player that anyone at that level should be able to make. This is from the same forumer who made a thread belittling the contributions of our most influenti...

Re: FIFA makes big changes to U-17 World Cup, Qatar to host next five editions

Where is NFF going to get the money for all this? We like to criticize the NFF, but no one is even asking how they can get the funds for all these competitions. We're already struggling to fund football as it is. Football is not a profitable business in Nigeria where you actually make a profit from...

Ahmed Musa is yesterday's news, I honestly want to believe the insane Musa experiment now officially ends after the AFCON. The less said the better about this guy. Yep. They either have better testing methods in Italy or give players little "energy pills" in the dressing room.

There have been a few players that had decent careers in the EPL. They transfer to Italy and test positive for doping. Jaap Stam is another player that comes to mind.

Re: Who is your top choice for SE coach

We're the kings of Bronze at the AFCON. I know Rohr also got bronze, but that was because we met the eventual (unstoppable) winners too early. Apart from Keshi, who I will not really class as a local coach, as he perfected his craft abroad, all local coaches are bronze merchants. One of the worst fo...

Re: QUESTION: Is Talent Born or Acquired?

Anyone who plays the game professionally was born with the talent. This is not a case of just working hard enough or having athletic attributes. Maradona was born with the talent. I remember a documentary where his first youth coach said at his first training session when he was about 9 or 10, they ...
