Re: How Gasperini unlocked Lookman
I judge players strictly by what they do in GWG. Therein lies the problem. Why is it a problem, may I ask? I actually find it more problematic judging a player merely by what he does at the club level and assuming that it will be the same at the NT level. As you well know, there is a list of player...

Re: Crystal Palace GK, Owen Goodm
Owen Goodman was supposed to join the U20 Flying Eagles for last the WC - but ended up not showing up… :boo: Do you know his reason for not showing up? Maybe he came to offer a personal apology to the federation and to recommit. If so, that’s a class act in his part. It may also be just a perfuncto...

Re: SE vs SA/Benin camp updates
That defense is a major problem. I don't understand why Finidi will not call Ekong. He says he is fit. We are in a crisis. Need defenders. Worst case scenario, he seats on the bench and provide leadership from the bench. I will always call it like I see am. Exercising my freedom of speech or opinon...

Re: How Gasperini unlocked Lookman
Here it is from his coach. When I said exactly the same thing I was called a hater and a tribalist. https://football-italia.net/gasperini-unlocked-lookman-scamacca-atalanta/ Gasperini said…… “Lookman is a top player today, but he wasn’t before. He was strong, but tended to light up in flashes and a...

Re: Chelsea close to signing Fulham's Adarabioyo
This guy seems to be one of those guys that has ultra focus. I suspect he knew he was good enough for a ‘top five’ team and was determined to get there. Remember a few years ago he granted an interview saying his goal was to get back to Man City and even captain them. Now he has entered Chelsea I am...

Re: CAF to decide on Nigeria U-17 AFCON spot after WAFU B semi-final defeat to Ivory Coast
Thanks for the explanation. What you and Gotti are saying makes a lot of sense and is quite reassuring tbh, Whichever way CAF wan do am, we go dey there. Good points as usual. Same argument goes that CAF cannot change rules mid race and use 12 team AFCON to select 10 teams! Under current rules, only...

Thank you sir! The agenda is not to improve the team. It is solely to give opportunities to local players as he said. And then watch how that local player becomes a foreign based player the moment he becomes an international and then he is no more good enough for the SE. See what Rohr said about th...

Re: CAF to decide on Nigeria U-17 AFCON spot after WAFU B semi-final defeat to Ivory Coast
Makes no sense. 10 spots from a 12 team competion. They shouold expand it to 16 or 24 teams. Let the boys play CAF. Wow, so Africa has 10 spots now? OK. In that case, the 12-team competition is no longer fit for purpose. You want your best at the U-17 World Cup. You can't say any team that qualifie...

Re: Osimhen out of WCQ
[ That is the real problem. It seems to me that most members of the forum still do not understand or pretend not to understand what a national team is and how a national team should operate. The national team is not a place where talents are developed or discovered. That is the job of club sides. T...

Re: Osimhen out of WCQ
1. Does our team need rebuilding? In what positions do we need to improve? Yes, we need to keep improving. We have aging players. We need help at fullback, Central Defense, Midfield, and attack (we have been nothing without Osimhen). We need to rebuild the team because despite playing in the finals...

What’s the point in having a qualifying tournament of 12 teams, TEN of whom will qualify for the WC?

Re: TEAM LIST OUT FOR WORLD CUP QUALIFIERS.
I’m surprised no one has mentioned Kingsley Ehizibue given all the injuries in defence. He has been very solid both as a central defender and as a right wing back in Serie A, especially since Cannavaro took over Udinese (who should know a thing or two about defending). He was also switched to LwB a...

Northernization agenda? A lot of thing is wrong. Beyond late appointment...

Excellent.
They were never as bad as was being portrayed.
We can’t win everything all the time.
Besides, they say good teams win even when playing badly. But to be fair, they didn’t play badly and the second half was actually quite impressive.
Congrats boys!
