Re: asamoah gyan
I have always been a fan of Gyan, from the first time I saw him play for Ghana at the 2004 Olympic games. He has so much character and confidence, without necessarily being over-confident. He has endured a love-hate relationship with Ghanaian fans over the years. He packed his bags and was ready to ...

Re: WILL JORDAN AYEW RECEIVE THE SIASIA TREATMENT?
It was really painful after seeing Jordan miss that chance, since I feared it was going to come back and haunt us. He is one player who has divided opinion a lot amongst Ghanaians. Some people wouldn't have even picked him to be in the squad, but he made a strong end to the season with Sochaux and e...

Re: [GRP G] GHA 1 V USA 2 (FT)
This group is far from over. Ghana lost to the worst US team we've played against at the world cup. Klinsmann has built a well organized team with lots of grit and motivation. They lack the talent and the depth. Despite winning against Ghana any neutral observer can notice that they were very poor. ...

Re: African Coaches Are Lagging Behind
It is no secret that I was extremely excited by the prospect of our African coaches Keshi and Appiah pitting their wits against the best international coaches at the World Cup. These guys were proudly representing our continent, and they needed to perform in order to give other local coaches a chan...

Why such a lack of top level left footed Nigerian players?
It occurred to me that despite Nigeria being a formidable soccer nation in Africa, you have hardly produced top level left footed players. It's a curious observation. In recent years, Emmanuel Amunike is the only such top level player that comes to mind. Another Nigerian left footed player I liked f...

Re: WILL GHANA GO INTO OBLIVION AGAIN?
Now that it has been determined that Ghana have failed to qualify for the next World Cup, the question is how long will it take for them to recover. For around 4-5 years they have had arguably the best midfield in Africa. However they failed miserably due to lack of creativity and negative football...

Re: Asamoah Gyan will do well in the English game
I have been waiting for a while for Gyan to make a switch to the EPL, and I am glad he finally did. I wish him all the best and I do think he will be a success. He has been bashed quite a lot in his career, by our very own Ghanaians in the past. I have seen in him develop into a much better player, ...

Re: Arsene Wenger says England need Arsenal's Frimpong
Ghana needs him too, the boy wants to play for Ghana, Abeg Wenger don't mess this up for AFrica. YOu are my boy Wenger, but don't go there. Absolutely agree. Wenger should just concentrate on mending the woes of Arsenal and leave Frimpong to forge his international future. We are trying to groom a ...

Re: FOR SPAIN TO BEAT GERMANY
For Spain to beat Germany they need to watch the Ghana-Germany game. So far I think Ghana was the only team that was able to contain and match the Germans quite well; should have ended in a draw if not for the individual brilliance of Ozil. Even though Serbia beat Germany, they were helped by the re...

Re: German tactics....
Germany def plays a good counter-attacking game. But what makes them successful is that they are not just a counter-attacking team. They know how to hold on to the ball and move it well. Only one of their goals against Argentina was actually from a true counter-attacks. The major difference between ...

Re: Why what Suarez did wasn't "cool"
There are pivotal events that lead to rule changes. I do believe that the Ghana-Uruguay incident should lead fifa to further evaluate one of their rules which should probably been changed long ago. Soccer has evolved over time with the rules changing continuously: the offside rule, giving three poin...

If Lee Addy is 19 then I am a chinaman!!! Check your stats before making a nuisance of yourself. Leed Addy is 24 yrs. It's Jonathan Mensah who is 19 yrs, the youngest in the team. In this tournament we are seeing the youthful exuberance of teams like Ghana and Germany over some more experienced tea...

I think the commentators got it wrong. Yellow cards are wiped out going into the quarter finals. That's the new fifa rule; someone correct me if I am wrong. Ayew should be able to play in the quarters.

Re: GHANA BLACK STARS WORLD CUP TRAINING
Nice to see the good team spirit. Seems they are having fun. It's not just about the skills to be successful, but also the camaraderie that helps keep a team tight. That's one thing I am happy with concerning the Black Stars, they do bond well together as a bunch of them have played together at diff...

Re: GHANA'S OFFICIAL 23 MAN SQUAD
The frontline remains weak. Besides that, a good squad. I feel more comfortable about our frontline than I did at the last wc. Asamoah Gyan shouldered a lot of responsibility as a 20 yr old at the last wc. He is more matured now and is coming off from quite a good season at Rennes (despite some inj...

This is crazy. Where is Esien? What did he do? Glad to see Muntari made the cut; but what happened to Esien? I guess you've had a very long slumber :D Essien didn't recover in time from his knee injury so he has been ruled out of the world cup. It's a big blow but I think we will manage without him...

Re: GHANA'S OFFICIAL 23 MAN SQUAD
Despite Essien's injury this is still a very strong squad. For once most Ghanaians seem satisfied with a Black Star list. Personally I would have dropped Rahim Ayew for Laryea Kingston. Overall it seems Milo evaluated the players well in camp and had the guts to drop old guns like Laryea and Eric Ad...

Re: Ballack Slap of KP Boateng has caused him the World Cup
No player deserves to miss the world cup because of a slap but I don't think that's the case with Ballack. Boateng's tackle was a hard one but from what I saw I don't think it was meant intentionally to hurt Ballack, but more likely badly mistimed. The yellow card was appropriate. He was apologetic ...

Re: 5 reasons why Prince Boateng should not go to the WC
Boateng will be fine. I have watched the kid this season enough to know that he is a baller. He was even a doubt for this game due to an ankle injury, but still managed to play. I don't think he was 100% fit so I am not surprised we didn't see him at his best. Yet still he gave a good account of him...
