Re: England snubs its Nigerian options
I am not sure Eze and Iwobi can play together anyway. Why can't they play together? Eze can play on the left or central midfield position he has also started many games on the left side of the attack in a 433 formation. Cito is right in that one can be an option but will Eze want to come off the be...

Re: Enyeama named best African Goalie of all time
My own personal opinion is that Ansah is the best African keeper ever.
In fact I will give Badou Zaki a slight nudge ahead of the trio of Enyeama, Nkono and Antoine Bell.

Re: Muda Lawal
He was the one player at the stadium every day climbing the staircase nonstop for a long time, sometimes even after their training sections at Liberty stadium and later at Adamasingba Stadium. I believe that was why he was able to cover the MF efficiently. And towards the end of his career (i.e. St...

Re: IBADAN PITCH URINATION EARNS A MERE $1000 FINE
I know the 80's are a long time away but I have never been in a Stadium where I haven't seen a player urinate in a corner before the start of the match, full stadium o, empty stadium o. Not every match granted but all levels from LDFA through to National League division 1. The times they are changing.

Saw them play Luton last Saturday, every substitution was booed.
He wants them to pass but the fans want the ball at the other end sharpish.
He'll be Ok as he is now on the merry go round.

Re: How come Croatia with a tiny population
As I told you, Croatia has a program to identify players of Croatian heritage and pursue them. mate, I am sure "Yugoslavia" would not have been able to tap into their diaspora as much as Croatia has been able to. That is the situation with Nigeria, the country is in political turmoil (has...

Re: Dominic Iorfa ready to play for Nigeria
What age did Sola Ameobi make his debut for Naija?
Dominic knows what to do to get his son in, even Jordan Ibe's father knows what to do as does Ojokojo.
Once they do, they'll be in and there's nowt anyone on here can do about it.

i cannot stand this clueless edafe. he knows nothing when it comes to football however that was some serious offside As long as the player is onside at the moment the ball is passed, it is OK to then run into an "offside" position. You can't be offside in your own half. https://www.nytime...

Re: England Giggling Thread
I have this tired argument with some North American friends even today...who think England is a tier 1 football power with players as good as anybody else. France says it all about this. To be fair mate, in this world cup England stood up to be counted. They happened on Bellingham and that seemed t...

Re: Morocco - Best African team ever.
Come now, you're just making things up as you write. mate, Are you just realising that? You have to understand that fans of the British premiership would never understand the beauty of watching teams like Croatia and Morocco play. The disciplined competence is alien to those fans. They'd rather the...

Re: Mbappe Is a hell of a Clutch Player
Deschamps did Mbappe wrong, if he had started with the boys he brought in to replace Giroud and Dembele, Argentina might have won but they would have needed a lot more luck to do so.
You have to play around your best talent.

What I will give to see Maradona play in this era of "touch me slightly and I fall over and get a free kick".
What I will give to see Messi play in the era of "you get a free kick only when the ref see's blood or broken limbs".
Maradona is the GOAT, for me anyway.

Re: How come Croatia with a tiny population
You know what I was thinking a while ago, Modric is deemed one of the bext in the world, which he is, however he isn't in the top two best midfielders Croatia have ever had, the fella is still behind Boban and Prosinecki in my opinion. And this team is not even as good as the France 98 team or the o...

Re: World cup is rigged
mate, I wouldn't bother with those idiotic British "follow the herd" commentators, it was a penalty and VAR would have made the ref look at it again if he hadn't initially given it. Even though the ball had run away, your keeper, not a bad one actually, was still moving when the clash happ...

Re: World cup is rigged
I am not sure Argentina were the better team. Croatia got undone by the central defenders losing concentration and uncharacteristically letting the player that went through for the first goal have some space, second goal was a fluke too as the Argentine lost the ball twice but somehow still got it b...

you have to be mindful about the British media, they can lift you and throw you down, Bukayo answered those questions correctly, Mbappe is on top of his game, we talking about generational talent here, yes Walker will need to be on top of his game, same applies to French defenders, when you have Sa...

Naija without a shadow of a doubt, the last Ghana Naija playoff showed our true colours. Despite the team not playing well, we were still mouthing off. Same thing England did with their so-called Golden generation. We still haven't learnt, Vancity is still posting about how we would have done well i...
