Re: Lalas knows more about soccer then this entire forum.

Lalas believes he knows much about soccer, but when he opens his mouth he exposes his deficiencies and prejudices on the game. But then, one have to consider the fact that his prejudices are based on his limited 'international exposure' to the game beyond European soccer. When not throwing cliches a...

Re: Has it occord to any of us that

Part of why its underreported is because brazil has hosted it before. That's quite a soft argument for the calamity that tis prep is. Besides, they hosted the WC in the 50s when half the real world was not looking, and the US was a contender. The main gist of the thread is that the westtern press a...

Re: Keshi, We Have A Problem. How Far Do You Think We Go?

If Keshi shows his hand in friendlies, where will the surprise come from at the WC? I guess none of you guys panting here have seen a team losing all its pre-season games only to be a hard nut to crack when the real tourney starts. Some herein are more jittery than the players. so the teams wey dey...

Thanks balo, I was thinking it will be on ABC since they bought ESPN
which is the cable carrier. I guess they are doing business with business.
Happy watching.

Re: World Cup Overrated / Underrated Teams

england is actually not overrated England is overrated, but still can be ignored at a great risk. The team is loaded with strong and fast players in the midfield and upfront. The defense is where they will have problems along with the goalie(s). Any opponent that can keep long possesions will frust...

World Cup Overrated / Underrated Teams

This is quite an interesting perspective on some participating teams that might surprise or fizzle.

Re: Match report and my 10-point observation of the game

That was truly a friendly game as far as Yobo and Ameobi is concerned, as both played as if it never mattered. Afterall they were both on the team based on sentiments; (any one recall the Klinsman/Donovan issue?). Sports experts say 'you play as you practice'. I just hope the SE don't do that in Br...

Onyeama is the perfect captain. His contribution to the team is indispensible, plus
he can command the team from his vantage position on the field. If not him, then Oboabona.

This is what i think might happen Nigeria 2 Iran 0 nigeria 2 Bosnia 2 nigeria 1 Argentina 3 Bosnia 3 Iran 2 Bosnia 1 Argentina 4 Iran 0 Argentina 5 So i think Nigeria and Bosnia will be tied on points and it will come down to goal difference, thats why it is important for Nigeria to score more than...

Re: ELDERSON ECHIEJILE TO UNDERGO SCAN

From what I saw of the injury and the way he kept pressing his glutes area, I am speculating that he might have a sciatic nerve injury. If that is the case, he will miss at least the first two SE matches at the WC. Re: Oshaniwa, what the point of having the guy on the team if Keshi does not believe ...

Bradley is the fire engine in the US team, while Obi is too deliberate with the effect of slowing down the SE.
Sentiments aside, if Bradley were Naija man he will definitely bench Osaze and Musa.

Re: This is How Serious Coaches make Decisions.

Klinsman is clearly not attuned to US sports psychology.
Everything is based on player charisma, endorsement potential, stats (even if irrelevant), and other sentiments.
Kilinsman might have a good plan for the future of US soccer, but if he has a bad WC2014 he will have to
set up his tent elsewhere.

I wonder what people are expecting in a friendly with ten days before the WC tournament starts.
Do we want to win these friendlies at any cost? Sometimes, I think our people just love to yarn unnecessary.

Ok Bro. kajifu, let me inform that since the 23-man team was just decided there was no time
to attach names to numbers.
