For those who question players’ patriotism, these are the risks inherent in friendly games

Re: CAUTION: SE May Not Qualify for WC IF.....
Biggest head scratcher for me was our lack of intensity vs Mali (especially in the first half) compared to the Ghana game where we were clearly up for it

Re: Nigeria vs South Africa (0-0)
I actually think that should have been the starting lineup, Aina is much more effective on the right and Bassey can play LWB Tactically, Osayi's been a problem. Without Zaidu the balance of the team is not there. I would bring in Omeruo for Osayi and return Aina to the right, with Bassey as LWB..

Re: Nigeria vs South Africa (0-0) HT
Conditions are much better than in Abidjan; humidity is much lower yet we are not pressing the SA defenders
They have so much time to pass the ball around or play the long ball or diagonal

Re: Camp News
Wasn’t there a report yesterday about Iheanacho scheduled to appear with Peseiro at the presser? Na wa Peseiro must not go! He has the right mindset to coach this team to great success. More importantly, he has made the team buy into his philosophy. I do suspect there is now friction between him and...

Re: SE vs RSA: What I Expect...
So you’re saying there’s a chance……? :D 1. A game of patience on either side. SA like to build up to the final third and then play short combination passes in the final third. Expect them to struggle to find space when the Nigerian block sets into a low block. 2. On the other side, expect Nigeria to...

Re: My concern about the SA game.
Chippa United could give South Africa tips about Nwabali's weaknesses. My happiness is that I have never seen a more focused SE team as this team. Someone will have to beat us because we won't beat ourselves as in the past. So SA better pack lunch cause it's going to be a long day on Wednesday. I s...

Our game on Wednesday means we’re playing in a different stadium (and on a different pitch) in Bouake for the first time , all our games so far have been in Abidjan Stade de la Paix, Bouake (capacity 40,000) The Felix Houphouet-Boigny Stadium pitch in Abidjan has been particularly difficult to play...

Re: Eagles’ semi is in Bouake not Abidjan
RSA or Cape Verde, who do you prefer? This is a semi final, anyone who makes it through will be worthy and I don’t feel like one will be easier than the other Angola showed our much heralded 3 man defense can be opened up if we sit too deep due to fatigue or brain farts, thank God we have a proper ...

Re: Nigeria vs Cameroon (1-0) Lookman Hangs, Our Osimhen assist)
I see the pros of the back 3 but I feel like we could sacrifice one of them for a midfielder
When we have possession in our half the options are limited
Having said that no shots on goal for the plantainians all half
