Re: Our Osimhen vs Monza and he scores
The real question is this:
How many goals would Vic have scored over the last few seasons at Napoli if the players who were supposed to pass to him actually passed to him on a regular basis?

Re: OUR BREDAS PRAISING EKONG
Troost has cut out on a mistakes he used to make like losing concentration or panicking leading to errors. I guess the development comes with experience and I wonder how much the format employed by Peseiro helped Ekong’s game True! But he gave Haller too much space for the second goal, watch how Osi...

Re: We didn't lose the final because of tactics
Peseiro's tactics were good enough to win the final. We are making a very simple mistake. Nigeria did not get to the final because we were not tested. The hole in the midfield was NOT a glaring weakness. It was NOT the issue. Peseiro's team was not a team that played on the backfoot. They did not c...

Re: Three reasons Jose Peseiro should stay as Super Eagles coach amid links with vacant Algeria job
He should continue. I wasn’t impressed by his tactics in the final but it’s still our second best result at afcon in 24 years which is no small beans. Also I don’t think he defensive style is as rigid in his mind as Rohr. Rohr was talking about “learning” and saying we were underdogs etc. Peseiro ha...

Re: Where is all the anger coming from?.... A moment to recall and to say Thank You to SE
I recall a thread before the tournament asking for predictions. I predicted at best a 2nd round exit going by our recent showings. Thank you to SE for exceeding my expectation and giving us lots of memorable moments that highlight the Nigerian spirit. The AFCON is a celebration of Africa, and Afric...

I remember him having one selfish moment against Egypt in the last afcon and then it seemed he was just frozen out after that - hope we can bring him back as he has the “x factor” to unlock defenses

Re: 343 WAS A TOTAL BUST TODAY LIKE I SAID
What if we did the unexpected and played 4-4-2 in the final? Vic Moffi Moses Iwobi Tank Lookman Bassey Ekong Ajayi Aina Highly unlikely to happen and makes zero sense IMO. It makes sense because our defense will still be strong, Moses and Lookman can track back, but Vic will not be isolated and lim...

Re: For the FINALS, how do we approach the formation/tactics?
I think the issue with the long balls from SA was because Vic wasn’t fit enough to lead his usual intense high press which normally doesn’t give the defenders time to think of placing accurate long balls.

Is it time to find a formation where Vic can work side by side with a second striker and we can be more offensive?

Re: Osimhen doubt for SA game (now available)
Not having had to use a talented player like Kele by the semifinals is actually a very positive sign in terms of a championship winning trajectory. It’s like getting to the question couple of questions in “who wants to be a millionaire” and still having all your lifelines. Remember Amuneke in 1994 ...

Re: Nigeria vs South Africa (0-0) HT
Apart from poor passes/touches our main issue is lack of intensity. And in a way they are related - when you are playing with intensity you tend to be sharper with your pass completion. Oshimen was really struggling to play his normal game and so we lacked that high press and hustle we have had. But...

Have you noticed…no shaking
Where is “I don dey shake oooo” before our games? Is Peseiro so good that he has cured all shaking? Or we don’t need to shake again to win?
