It will be dumb to put Okocha on the bench since we don't have the service of Utaka. Egu need to instruct the players to play to instruction, he need to instruct Obodo and Ayinla not be release the ball to Okocha every time, our attack will be predictable that way. Okocha should be made to play as ...

And what about Oguchi Onyewu who a few months back some here were saying wasn't good enough to play for Nigeria? Now he's become a starter for the US and has been the revelation of the US team during World Cup qualifying. Jared Borgetti showed what he can do this past summer in the Confederations Cu...

no, Birthdate June 2, 1989 he is just to good for u17. the same reason why rooney does not play u21 Agree that is why Adu is not on this team. It doesn't help his development to 'drop down' to U-17 level after playing U-20. The same applies to Argentina's 17 year star in the making Sergio Aguero, w...

While Asia and CONCACAF aren't that strong in overall depth they do have some good teams particularly Mexico and the US in CONCACAF. But let's be honest here as much as we'd like to think otherwise, Africa doesn't deserve more than 5 teams at the World Cup. Apart from occasional surprises like Camer...

Not a good day for Morocco. Not only did they lose their friendly to Togo but more importantly Tunisia beat Kenya in World Cup qualifying and now moves ahead of Morocco in their World Cup qualifying group with 2 matches to play. On the next match day Morocco has what should be an easy match at home ...

I'm very happy to see two of my favorite players returning to my favorite European national team. This reminds me a bit of how Maradona came back to help out a struggling Argentina in their playoff v Australia in 1993(after the embarrassing 5-0 home loss to Colombia). He ended up helping Argentina ...

Interesting article. Azuka Harbor was known as Jean Harbor in the US and even played in the first year of MLS back in 1996.

If Amaechi Igwebuike was a kicker in the NFL then he was known as Donald Igwebuike.

Nobody denies Ghana controls their own destiny and they play two very winnable matches but as World Cup qualification gets near the team will feel more and more pressure on them. Remember what happened with Trinidad & Tobago in 1989 trying to make qualifying for WC 1990, all they needed to do wa...

Onyewu is developing well as he learns the international game. With Onyewu and Feyenoord's Cory Gibbs as the central defenders the US defense is looking pretty good. But Onyewu is not 6'2", he has to be at least 6'4".

I think Olajengbesi is an excellent defender. I agree with the praise for his reading of the game and he's also quite good in the air. Hopefully he can completely recover from his knee injury and return to his pre-injury form. As for Ogungbure, he looked like a good defensive midfield prospect 2 yea...

While I was very impressed with the FE's play in Holland the jump from U-20 to the senior level is great and in my opinion the only FE players ready to make the leap now to the Super Eagles are Taye Taiwo and John Mikel Obi. I think Obodo and Oruma are exactly the type of dynamic central midfielders that Nigeria has been lacking recently. Obodo isn't a "destroyer' type of defensive midfielder but is more of a "two way" midfielder and would be ideally suited to play in a 5 man midfield. While I am very imp...

Good win for South Africa. Mexico didn't really play a bad game, the ball, as some times happens, just wouldn't go in the net for them. How many times did they hit the post/bar? But South Africa played an intelligent game and were very well organized. The only player of theirs that I knew was Nomvet...

Bnei Yehuda finished mid table in the 2004-5 Israeli season. Maybe our Israeli poster shaharx can tell us more about the club. I do know Israeli football has been a pretty good home for African footballers and Yakubu Aiyegbeni certainly used it as a stepping stone to bigger and better things.
