Re: WHO IS ON OLISEH'S LIST OF REPORTED 70 PLAYERS
The Tanzania game is not too far away - early Sept if memory serves me right. Oliseh will want to start things out with a win. My feeling is that he will not be calling up 70 players to any camp. I could be wrong but my guess is he will go with a true and tried bunch for the call-up, with a sprinkli...

Despite the # of caps, Musa may be too young to be captain.

Obinna Nsofor
Anyone have news on what Nsofor is doing.
Last I recall was 7 or 8 months back when his contract with Lokomotiv finally
ended.
Did he land anywhere since then?
I hope that he is not sitting on the sidelines like Taiwo.
These guys from the 2005 U20 set have a few good years left in them.

Re: 10 things Oliseh must sort out over the next two years
He will not have time to do 1-4; Like all SE coaches he will be looking over his shoulder and knows he lives and dies by the results of the next year or two. [1] He must put in place a proper scouting system to catch players at the age of 10 to 16. After that, bad habits have developed and it is har...

Re: Oliseh will end the Era of Junk players
Babatunde played well in the world cup. Michael Babatunde (this guy should be eternally grateful to Keshi) I actually think he was one of our best players in the World Cup. I am sure the Argentines will agree. Does that justify his inclusion? The World Cup squad was full of junk players the evidence...

Megapro has the right attitude. The fans don't have any say in the choice.megapro wrote:but let us still make an attempt to rally round our coach for once. starting with Oloseh,...or whoever gets the nod
Rather, once the coach is appointed, it is far better to rally around and support
him.

Re: It's Oliseh
Well well!
Oliseh would not have been my choice - he should cut his teeth on the U20 first
if not the U17.
However, once the SE coach is appointed, as in the past, it's time to fall
in behind and support him. Here's hoping for a good run for Oliseh in the SE

Re: IS MANU GARUBA WATCHING MALI VS GERMANY MATCH?
How this man managed to louse up our chance in New Zealand still beats me hollow! I think we rate the FE too highly. From the games I've watched so far, the following have better players and play as a team than the FE - brazil, portugal, germany, and mali. i have not seen uruguay play or serbia but...

Re: Solace Chukwu: Manu's milquetoast team outclassed
I watched the game last night and my observation is that FE's biggest weakness was in midfield. They lacked interplay between attack and midfield. Most of the balls to Awoniyi were long balls which as in Brazil game were easily intercepted. The Germans simply double and triple teamed Awoniyi to shu...

I'm just wondering why someone who doesn't scout opponents, who cannot express himself/communicate fluently; who doesn't substitute players, who doesn't allow players enough rest between matches, etc. gets to be a national team coach? let us not underestimate the australian team. they are good. the...

But be careful. You can't just program your video recorder and go to bed. The TSN channels don't always follow their schedules. Our game vs North Korea was supposed to be on TSN2 and the idiotus had baseball on that channel. So make sure you are awake to check the 5 TSN channels. ohsee. i woke up 3...

Re: Coaching Words Of Wisdom From Manu Garba
There is enough blame to go round. 1) We were tentative. 2) The midfielders did not support Awoniyi upfront quickly. 3) We defended too deep in our box (this team always does). 4) Too many misplaced passes along with poor ball control at the back and in midfield. 5) Players appeared lethargic apart...

Re: SIASIA: On Garba Manu and loss to Germany
I woke up at 3:30 in the morning to watch the match! The FE were undone by 3 things: 1. The weather was cold - could see vapour when they were breathing (I have a feeling this had some effect) 2. When the FE had the ball, 5 Germans were on the FE player immediately. In this situation, you need to pl...
