The truth: CCC got very angry and entered the frey. After 5 minutes he took off his boots and starrted playing bare foot. In the 92nd minute, he scored straight from a goal kick. The keeper positioned himself correctly but the force of the ball carried him into the net. The game was declared over so...

Benin, SA, and Maroc: One autograph per person please

I have the misfortune of having to notify all players from the following countries: Morocco South Africa Benin that Nigerian players are only allowed to sign one autograph per person per game. However, in the interest of "One Africa" they are allowed to swap their new Adidas jersies which ...

Are you sure its an upset you smell. You might wanna make sure your co-workers have showered today, or that no one has an UPSET stomach. Like I said earlier, I think we also have a better squad now. But African soccer is tough, and yeah, they could beat us. But my head and my heart both say Nigeria ...

Algiers '90 openning game - what the hell happened there! We just collapsed. You wouldn't believe it was the same team in the final two weeks later.
That team was so boring and so dependent on Yekini.

Omeyk if you do that I'll stop coming to this forum. You anger cheers me up, and I get such a kick out of abusing you when ManU screw up (often) and being abused when Chelsea screw up (unfortunately more often).

Don't start growing up on us now, we're couting on you.

I think the current Eagles squad might be the best one since the qualifiers for 1998. We have a settled defence with players who have played together for a while. In Baba, we have Africa's best (at least most high profile) left back and in Yobo and Zak we have its most promising partnership. We have...

Nigeria will start the game against Morocco slowly.. Nigeria will conceed a very cheap and early goal. Nigeria will settle into her rhythm as the game wears on. Nigeria will pull a goal back around the 25 mins mark and go on to score another just before half time. Nigeria will start the second half...

I watched him live at QPR and saw his WC and I thought he did OK. I agree he was not spectacular, and he was no Oliseh, but he cleaned up in front of the back four, did not over commit at any time and once he won the ball, even in crowded spaces, he seemed able to protect it and bring it out. Of cou...

Ayo, you rely too much on stats. Being the first team to qualify for WC means squat. Tell me, what great giants did we slay along the way to that qualifcation? I don't say that to denigrate Troussier or his team. I just say to make the point that it is not some basis for our soccer development. Okoc...

And when the opposition, after 5 minutes, figure that out and tell the attacking midfielders to mark Seyi, then what? This is what I dislike about this approach to football that makes it seem like its like driving a car - stop on red, go on green. It ain't. The modern game requires quick thinkers a...

He is fantastic. But he does seem to be a bit of a problem character, always mouthing off, and European coaches generally don't like that type of player.

Also, for midfielder, it is a bit of a problem that he rarely ventures into his own half and does know the meaning of the word tackle.

Yes he did. Mali are also known as the Eagles. Still, it got me. Ayo, how about some qualifying of that in the title? That is called headline writing. A headline is supposed to be catchy yet accurate. There is nothing inaccurate about it and it screams "read me." Living, I think you need ...
