Re: Congratulations to the Legend from Ajegunle
Still no official communication from the NFF and there’s a reason why.
Lots of politics and drama behind the scenes. Everybody has their candidate. That committee is not in lockstep and somebody is putting pressure on them in the media to name Amuneke.
The movie continues.

Re: Nigeria Football Federation to Decide on New Super Eagles Coach Today
Honestly,
We need to move on from the Class of 94 and their sense of entitlement.
I am not with any Amuneke/Finidi combo.
NFF better not try it.
Did they interview Egbo?

Hold your horses.
When I see something like this being put out by the media unofficially, especially Nigerian media, I pause. This seems like a calculated move by someone to disseminate this information.
Let's wait for official communication.

I listened to the interview....it's hard to take someone like that seriously. There was no coach speak at all. A lot of naivete. Sounded like a social media critic. Re: FINIDI GEORGE IS A TERRIBLE COACH
I wont say he's a terrible coach. I will say he showed some inexperience and naivety with regards game and squad management. Few obvious things he missed 1. Ndidi does not play 90 mins for Leicester and rarely plays 2 games in a week post injury. He played 90 mins against Mali while 2 other midfield...

This was a really bad performance.
Add Osayi to the list. His last few SE performances have been underwhelming. Lots of blame to go around.

Re: Nigeria vs Mali(0-1)
Our midfield 3 is very flat in build up and spread across the center circle. We are trying to avoid the clog in the central areas I guess. Iwobi is the most mobile so he’s getting the ball but when he turns he has nothing vertical. Kudos to mali. Invert the triangle. Take out one of Ndidi or Onyedik...

Also Benjamin started the game because of knocks to Omeruo and Bassey. When he got injured it was Osayi who played there and Simon moved to RWB.
Let’s see what happens on Tuesday.

Finidi George is really a guy who believes in himself. He showed it today in many ways and I list them below. This guy's confidence is clearly to lay it all out and on the line. Nothing to fear. Na real show of gumption and bravery. I love it!!! https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/615N7SyhBKL._AC_U...

Re: Benjamin Tanimu's SE Debut vs Ghana (Highlights)
For a debut performance, he was OK. I wouldn’t go past that. I still look at him as a kid. Back in the days na this kind player full out U-17 teams. ThankGod for MRI. His long passing was unnecessary more often than not. That pass to Kelechi was a peach tho. He was looking long almost all the time i...

Everything I heard prior to AFCON said he’ll be on the first list post AFCON. That Jose was very aware of him. We no get coach. I really hate how… 1. We don’t have real press conferences when lists get released 2. Even if we did have press conferences, it’ll turn to home based v foreign based becaus...

Re: Benjamin Tiaminu - New SE
This is a very tough thread to comment on. Full Disclosure - Benjamin was brought to me in Lagos in 2017 from Benin as a young 15-16 yr old kid then to tryout for my academy. He trained with us for awhile but ended up going back to Benin. We were unable to work something out with his folks. I kept a...

Re: AAG Live - Flying eagles (1) vs Uganda (2) FT
One thing we will eventually realize is that nothing trumps preparation. I expected little from this team except to improve gradually with games. The NFF claims it is strapped and cannot easily access funds to fully prepare its teams. The resilt will be disappointment. I watched the second half of ...

He ended his tenure on a high but he was bang average overall. Now, let’s see who’s next. I suspect the NFF already have another foreigner on their radar. average overall ? he took the team to the final of the most competitve AFCON IN HISTORY. The team did not concede a goal in 4 straight matches. ...

Re: Argentina and Nigeria friendly in China cancelled after furious Lionel Messi fallout
I dont buy the 'visa problems' excuse. According to the Argentinian rumor mill the NFF didn't want to pay the expenses for the flights. The visa thing is from a very very reliable source. If you say so. We went to US before, with a bunch of homebased players to boot. Friendlies were planned months ...
