Re: Why hasn't Maduka Okoye been called up?
If our goal is to qualify for the WC and reach the semis, a goalie who starts in a top 5 league is a requirement. You won’t bamboozle top teams with a NPFL goalie. Nwabali,is a top goalie but to match our aspirations he’ll have to move to at least France by the time the WC starts if we qualify. Unt...

Re: Did Eze make a mistake ?
Eberechi Eze made a HUGE mistake : he could be our AM, our n.10, our star. Now he is just a forgotten man. He can't anymore switch nationality for FIFA rules. Tosin Adarabioyo also made a mistake, he could be a starter in our defence, but he will never be enough good for England. He can still repre...

Re: NFF makes decision on Peseiro’s contract renewal
Some what, I feel that negotiation continues. This is a last ditch effort to force Peseiro's hands. It is a dangerous tactics but effective if Peseiro has no viable option. The issue here is really about money and the gap between the coach and the NFF is very wide and an agreement may not be close....

Re: NFF poor WC qualification preparations
The friendly should be about testing players not chemistry building. The NFF should name a new coach and schedule a friendly. We need a friendly in March. It would be a mistake not to play one in March. Why are you complaining? Sack Peseiro!, sack Peseiro!!! was all we ever heard from you. Next thi...

Re: THOMAS TUCHEL: End of the Road
And there are examples of coaches that stayed long and achieve nothing and those that within a short time won all that is there to win! Some teams have time to wait while others don't have the luxury of time! There is plenty of evidence that coaching stability and allowing a coach to stay long term ...

Re: I Finally Watched the Match
What's the stats for the other matches that we played in the tournament? I doubt there were any significant difference. The stats says otherwise. We were embarrassingly poor on the day. How can have just one shot on target and a pitiful 37% possession in an AFCON final yet claim we didn’t play badly...

Re: Thank You SE
I am glad we lost. No way should a pack of criminals (NFF) be rewarded They took 2 less players so they could chop money They forced a useless parasitical leech disguised as a motivational speaker on the coach. They made sure that "good old boys" and friends were on the team as opposed to...

Congrats to CIV, Thanks to the SE
Congrats to CIV. One they were decisive in getting rid of the coach. The assistant coach got them the Trophy! The mental toughness of the team. To regroup after the terrible loss to EG. Having their star players back for the later stages of the tournament helped. And their star players did show up. ...

Re: Big ups to Terem Moffi
Excellent baller who provoked the free kick Just loved his calmness and confidence as he waited to take his shoot....He dispatched with aplomb.. They knew for a fact that Williams was going to dive either left or right for the first PK. It was middle or nothing for Moffi. Then come Omeruo, who slow...

Re: If We Win AFCON, Who Lifts Cup?
Ekong or Musa? I've met Musa before, he's really a nice guy but, for me, it has to be Ekong for all the hard work and leadership on the field. He appears to have become the face of the team. In fact, I have a feeling, Musa will support Ekong to lift the trophy. It doesn't bode well for Musa who has...

It is time for the Nigerian Football Federation to launch Operation Columbus - An audacious attempt to win North America 2026 with an ambitious roadmap that looks something like this Ayo Akinfe [1] First and foremost, the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) needs the presidency on board. CIV just showed why you should be decisive in sacking a non performing coach. They sacked the coach in the midst of the AFCON. Now they are into the final of AFCON.
