Re: Maybe 3-5-2 is actually Peseiro’s best formation
Pretty good lineup and formation. The only change I might make may be to play Simon as a left wingback ahead of Zaidu.

Ivory Coast is still a good team. I won't be that surprised if they shock Senegal and come out with a win. Senegal are the favorites in that game though.

I don't think Ivory Coast fielding players based in Saudi had anything to do with their loss.

Re: CIV paid dearly for not converting their chances
I agree to a large extent. The score line was not a true reflection of the quality of both teams. Ivory Coast dominated for large stretches of the game but were poor upfront. E. Guinea were clinical in front of goal. The funny thing about African football is the teams that struggled in the first rou...

Re: Guinea Bissau vs Nigeria (0-1)
The ball in the final third is where it's falling apart. Onyeka and Aribo need to move the ball a bit quicker. Simon also needs to do the same. He doesn't always have to dribble. Get the ball to the open man quicker.

Whoever wrote that probably hasn't seen Bonke play Some of you are just on planet earth to exasperate your fellow human beings. I refuse to take your bait: Bonke Innocent (NGA) is a a ball winning midfielder and currently plays for Lorient. Bonke Innocent is 28 years old (1996/01/20) and he is 178cm...

Re: Why AHMED MUSA may play in the next game......
Taking Musa was essentially wasting a spot. The changes I would make would be to replace Zaidu on the left with Simon or Bruno depending on formation. I would also start Osayi-Samuel at RB or RWB. Would be good to give Aina a rest. I would start Osimhen in the next game. He needs to score and get hi...

Osayi-Samuel could also be an option on the right wing going forward in the tournament. He is a winger turned FB. Ejuke or Tella would have been good to have in the squad tho instead of Musa.

Hopefully Okoye, Nwoke, Obasogie, and Osayi can give us depth in that area. They should all be ahead of Ojo and maybe Uzoho. Let's not crucify him when he makes a mistake. Even the greats do at times.

Re: I hope the NFF is drawing up a list of midfielders for the World Cup
Would like to see more of Fisayo Dele-Bashiru. Ibrahim Olawoyin is another AM that deserves a call-up. Then we have an emerging AM/CM in Ebenezer Akinsanrimo, and up and coming CMs/DMs like Victor Eletu and Daniel Daga. Olise seems like he won't play for us. Amoo not sure what will come of him post ...

Re: Sadiq Umar injury misdiagnosis?
Seems like the medical team misdiagnosed him and Peseiro made a rushed call. That being said, Moffi, Iheanacho (if fit) are capable alternatives. It may have made more sense to replace Sadiq with a versatile midfielder or winger.

He played well today and looked solid. Let's not make him out to be the next Kante tho.
CIV's midfield scares me. Fofana and Kessie are real box to box midfielders and can really dominate a game physically. Sangare is no slouch either.
Boga will cause problems too in wide areas

Also, I thought Oliseh resigned as SE manager after a few games in charge. Was he fired and did he really cite witchcraft as the reason he didn't succeed?

Re: Mikel Obi: “Sunday Oliseh had no clue as Manager”
Keshi was clearly more successful than Oliseh. No doubt about that. Oliseh's coaching career never really got off the ground. Imagine how much more Keshi might have achieved if he didn't invite take the likes of Uzoenyi, Uchebo, Reuben, Amoebi, Babatunde, etc to the world cup? Were those really the ...

Re: Another Injury in Super Eagles Camp?
You can't predict injuries. That being said, unforeseen events like this underline why not calling up a replacement for Kele was a bad idea. Musa is also taking up a spot that could have been used by a player that can contribute something to the squad.

2nd round or quarter finals. I really hope I'm wrong.
I think CIV has the strongest team and will win it. Morroco, Algeria, then Senegal are next in line in that order.
