Re: Noni Madueke lost to England too.
He will committ to Nigeria when he hits 24 or 25 and is yet to play for England. That's what many of them do. I would probably do the same if I were in their shoes.

Re: Conceicao, Amunike, Torrent or Buijs
Of the 4, I will go with Concecaio, mainly cause I like the way Cameroun played when he coached them.
I was hoping Finidi would get the nod tho. However, Finidi in the future needs to make better use of his bench.

Re: How would a Vic- Boniface attack work?
Boniface played several times on the left wing for Union St Gilloise. I think he can take some some defensive duties if he's played on the wing. If we are going with a front two, I think I still prefer Osimhen and Lookman. However, if we are playing 3 upfront with just one CF, then I'll play Bonifac...

What I'm most disappointed in is Tella and Dele-Bashiru haven't been introduced.

Re: Preferred Line up Against Mali
Bruno can play LB, LCB, and LWB. He played as a LCB several times for his club last season. Playing him there also adds pace to the back line. With Bassey and Onyeka also out, I'll go with the following lineup: Formation: 3-5-2 Nwabali (GK) Bruno (LCB) Omeruo (CB) Awazeim (RCB) Yusuf (CM/DM) Ndidi (...

Eager to see how we do against Mali. I think they should be a tougher opponent than Ghana

Re: Chukwueze scores his first league goal
He really needed that goal. He slid down the pecking order and even Noah Okafor seems to be in the mix on the wings at times ahead of Chuwkueze now. Questions, is there a reason why Chuwkueze is rarely ever played on the left? With Leao playing there, he will probably never be used there at Milan, b...

Re: MILAN WORRIED ABOUT CHUKWUEZE FORM
He has been really poor for Milan lately. What's equally worrying is he has also been poor when playing for the SE. He has his work cut out for him to get back in the starting lineup at Milan. I don't see Milan being patient for much longer.

Re: Benjamin Tiaminu - New SE
From the highlights he looks like a tough tackling defender that can make long passes. Suprised he was invited over Ogbu or Torunarigha. However, we'll see whether he justifies his invitation.

Re: Antonio Concecao - any takers?
His 2021 Cameroun team played good attacking football, tho they were somewhat suspect defensively. They also mainly played 4-4-2. His CV is even less impressive than that of Peseiro, so he kind of falls in the European "journeyman" coach category.

Re: Nigeria to play friendlies against Mali and Ghana in Marrakesh
Overall it's a decent squad. Glad to see Osho, Dele-Bashiru, and Tella. Also happy there are 6 midfielders in the squad. Dele-Bashiru is a CM/AM that can also play as a winger. Would have gone with the following instead: Nwobodo or Matthew for Ndidi (Ndidi is just recovering from injury). Ejuke for ...

Why are there only 20 on the squad? Was that the maximum number of players allowed by CAF?

It will be hard for him to play for a decent team in Europe with the aftermath of this case looming over him. I wonder if he'll have better luck trying to secure a move to Saudi or Qatari league?

Would make more sense for Finidi to be interim or even head coach since Finidi is the current assistant and also doing well with Enyimba.

Re: Ibrahim Hafiz Umar joins FK Bodø/Glimt from Ojodu City Academy
Bodo has won the Norwegian league the last 3 years, and has also played in the Europa or Conference league in the last few years, so he should get some exposure there. It's a good starting point for Umar.

Amunike or Mitsomane. Finidi can continue as an assistant and also handle the U23 or U20 team.

At the moment, the most capable alternatives to Chuwkueze are Tella, Ejuke, and Onyekuru. Onyekuru is doing well in the Saudi league.

Re: Ola Aina Played AFCON 2023 Final with Injury, Nottingham Forest Coach Says
It's beginning to feel like Peseiro ran Ekong, Osimhen, and Aina into the ground. I still wonder why the likes of Bruno and Awazeim didn't get any minutes, or why Moffi and Osayi-Samuel didn't get more minutes. Peseiro's team selections also limited his ability to make substitutions. We didn't have ...
