Objectively speaking - Cameroon start as favourites. But we know football is not an exact science so anything can happen. My source of consolation is the fact that Cameroon are the one team that our players will take seriously and will not be complacent about. I think that (as usual) Cameroon's grea...

BENIN PLAYER DROPPED BECAUSE OF NIGERIA CONNECTION!

I wondered why Enyimba's Muri Ogunbiyi did not start the game against Nigeria and didn't get a full 90 mins to face off against his Enyimba teammate Vincent Enyeama. http://thisdayonline.com/sport/20040206spo06.html Dateline: 06/02/2004 05:24:48 Muri Axed for Nigeria Connection ---------------------...

Re: This man take style yab Chukwu

Let’s hope that some our extravagantly talented individuals will turn on the magic against Cameroon.
...we only have one extravagantly talented player: Okocha.

....I think Yobo went to sleep for the Benin goal. If he did that playing for Everton, David Moyes (and the Everton fans) would slaughter him. Enyeama had no chance with a crisp volley from five yards out..... then again he too showed his inexperience by failing to come and catch/allowing a throw in...

true true.... otherwise you can't explain Akpoborie's exclusion from the 1998 WC team at a time when he was one of the deadliest players in the Bundesliga. Or Ijeh's exclusion from the current team. It seems we only appreciate "flashy" players.

I don't think Kanu should be in the squad - period. He's a shadow of his former self and is living off his reputation/past glories. Osaze came on and took his opportunity - he's a young and hungry player looking to make a name for himself (and possibly a move to a bigger club). That is what we need ...

The objective bottom line on Enyeama:

Positives: He is agile and acrobatic - a good shot stopper.

Negatives: His handling and ability to judge/catch crosses is utterly woeful.

Kickoff Chief - please don't get on my case! I've been fair to your boy!
