Re: Manchester United - News, Developments & Season

I agree with you re Mount. It was a superfluous signing. Blowing 50 million of the transfer budget to sign a player in the last year of his contract was madness. Especially as they could have signed him for free 6 months later AND he plays in the same position as the team's star player and 3 other p...

Re: Manchester United - News, Developments & Season

ETH has already reintegrated Sancho into the squad. The two met and buried the hatchet. I posted about it in the Sancho thread. Greenwood had to go as he is radioactive ☢️. At least there was a sell on clause in his deal. Donny had to go too as United ruined his career and he is not likely to get a ...

Re: Canadian women to play Nigeria on Wednesday (July 17) in closed-door training match ahead of Olympics

That match report was appalling. Was the writer a professional journalist? One had to read the whole article to decipher what the score was (which is not once mentioned in the article). If Canada 🇨🇦 won the match, why was there a penalty shoot out?

Re: Manchester United - News, Developments & Season

We are only in July, yet United has already announced the signings of Zirkzee and Lenny Yoro, while Ugarte may be next. What is going on? Why are they no longer sticking to the United playbook of chasing after players that do not want to join United? Or negotiating for players for several months or ...

Re: Euro 2024

TOTT lists are always heavily biased towards the winning team (hence 6 of the 11 selected players being Spaniards). As good as Fabian Ruiz was, he did not play better than Kante (whose performances made me question whether he is a laboratory manufactured athlete rather than a human). Mikautadze and ...

Re: Euro 2024

The TOTT consists of the 11 players who were in the best form during the tournament. That is why broken nosed Mbappe (one of only two human beings to score a hat-trick in a World Cup final) did not make the team. Otherwise in what planet would he not be deemed among Europe's 11 best players? Even wi...

Re: Euro 2024

Luis DLF did an excellent job. Espana 🇪🇸 did not have the best players in the tournament (France did), but it had the best team . Not one single player in this current Spanish team would have been able to get into that great 2010 team (not even Rodri and Yamal). Yet this current Spanish team is so &...

Now that Southgate has gone, England can line up that long queue of successful English managers who have won the Premier League.

Re: Euro 2024

Ohsee, the problems are: 1) France 🇫🇷 firing the most successful manager in its history; 2) England firing the second most successful manager in its history; and 3) elite football is a game of extremely fine margins. Changing the manager will not guarantee improved results. There are so many uncontr...

Asking for the firing of 2 coaches who: 1) Led their team to 2 successive World Cup finals; and 2) Led their team to 2 successive European Championships finals; 3) led their team to 66% of all tournament finals his country has ever reached; and 4) is undefeated in 22 of 25 games he has been involved...

Re: Is 🇺🇸 a Safe Place to Host the World Cup?

Are you suggesting that football in 🇺🇸 is safe because it is a white majority sport? ...I can't clarify any more than you go to any match, men or women, boys or girls, youths to pee wees and witness yourself. In the weaning years of my playing and couldn't play anymore, I started coaching, and refer...

In fact, na oyinbos here support or are passionate about soccer, so it is safe.

Incredible that Mainoo's entire career consists of 7 months of football, yet he is about to play in a European Championships final ahead of far more experienced and older players. https://twitter.com/TenHagEra/status/1812207237021983084/mediaViewer?currentTweet=1812207237021983084&currentTweetUs...

Fabrizio changed his tune. If this news is true then it is good news for United as Sancho is a very good player and offers a threat in the final third.

Re: Manchester United - News, Developments & Season

Poor Donny VDB. United ruined his career and then sold him to Girona for only €500K Euros (about 1 months wages for a decent Premier League player). All the best Donny. I hope things work out for you at Girona. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=NLEcxBBtoEE https://www.eurosport.com/football/transfers/20...
