Etebo is a goat. The guy has gone to view the VAR and you're still arguing.

Re: Ghana 0 vs Nigeria 0 WCQ '22 qualifier 1st Leg
I still don't understand why these guys can't take shots. Sometimes they hell open up the defense when dribbling and passing aren't working. Ghana's best chance has come from a shot from outside the box. The same way Tunisia knocked us out of the AFCON.

I hope they've learnt from their shortcomings exposed during the Tunisia match. Moses and Samu especially should be able to switch things up. They should have also improved on their crossing, shot taking and free kicks.

Re: SE PLayers Thumbs Up Abuja Stadium Turf....
Wouldn't this be a good time to have a NPFL team based in Abuja? In 6 months the pitch will be unrecognizable. We don't play enough national team games to keep the stadium viable. Which is why I would've preferred them selling the naming rights to the stadium rather than name it after Abiola. Reven...

Re: OKOYE TO START - AMUNIKE
Why is he announcing the goalie before camp opens? Is that his job? The way these coaches are talking doesn't offer much confidence in their ability to lead , the Nija back bitting factor seems to be creeping in. If we qualify, we'll need to hire a new FC. I don't trust these rag-tag local coaches ...

Re: Our Ndidi,Kele and Lookman vs Leeds
Very unimpressed with Kele, the assist notwithstanding. Won’t be surprised if Leicester look to offload him in the summer You’ve never been impressed by him. You’ve always questioned his development. He’s just not ur cup of tea. He simply doesn't do enough. And worse, he doesn't push himself hard e...

Re: Eguavoen releases SQUAD against Ghana
Our coaches must have a special strong drink that causes them to make boneheaded decisions. Etebo hasn’t played competitive football in almost 6 months. Shehu Abdulahi over Ebuehi? Collins dropped for who? Sadiq over Awoniyi? Onazi? And 10 attackers and wide midfielders as against 4 central midfiel...

I don't understand why the NFF can't implement pension, insurance, social security and 401k type programs that will help sustain ex internationals after their playing days are over. The active players too should help fight for this. It's not just about bonuses and allowances. It is not the NFF's pl...

Re: I think it's time to ditch this wing play nonsense
During training sessions, Moses Simon, Samu and Ejuke should be doing drills without dribbling. They all should learn to play without running at the defense and dribbling which is their go to move. They should be made to work on other aspects (crossing, shooting from out wide, and playing into the m...

Re: We were taught a footballing lesson
I disagree. The eagles played well. The coach to me is the problem...not the players. The coach and players share in the blame. Egu clearly didn't have a plan B for the Tunisians marking out Moses and Samu. Both players kept trying to take on two or three Tunisians at a time. Egu should've figured ...

Re: Nigeria 0 vs Tunisia 1 2nd Round AfCON 2022
Officiating was bad. That was no red card. Iwobi went for the ball and accidentally caught the Tunisia player. Nigeria underaged Tunisia. Went away from what they were doing well like one touch passing and wing player. We don't have a good striker if Osimhen is not playing. with his studs up. Thats...

Re: Nigeria 0 vs Tunisia 1 2nd Round AfCON 2022
That was such a poor goal to concede. That red looked worse on replays. It was just not our day at the office. The red card was deserved. Players know refs have been told to clamp down on such play so not sure why Iwobi did it . I don't think it was done intentionally. It was 'accidental foul', but...

Re: Nigeria 0 vs Tunisia 1 2nd Round AfCON 2022
Ref/VAR ruined the game as a spectacle. That was a poor decision. But TBF, we were never able to develop our game and relied on individuals, re Simon If you're a professional player and you see that you're being double teamed, you switch things up to keep them guessing. Simon and Chukwueze were one...

At least Okocha is taking the beat down like a soldier. Unlike Gyan who was wombling and fumbling after Ghana went out.

Re: Nigeria 0 vs Tunisia 1 2nd Round AfCON 2022
It's sad that we don't learn how to take shots from outside the box. Clearly they game planned for Moses and Samu. The only way to neuttalize that was to be a goal threat from outside the area. That will draw the second defenders away from the wide players.

Re: Nigeria 0 vs Tunisia 0 2nd Round AfCON 2022
It's clear Tunisia's plan is to double up whenever Moses or. Samu is with the ball. Then two need to do better getting their mates involved rather than each trying to take on two/three defenders all on their own.
