You are the only one who awaits a battle with Nura.EMIR KONGI JAFFI JOFFA wrote:We quietly await the battle between him and Nura.
Nura is yet to break in Roma's first team.
I don't see him establishing himself at professional level before the WC.
For now we are fine with Ebuehi and Shehu.

Re: 4 Players who could gatrcrash the WC squad
These are indeed interesting times to be a SE fan. The team is playing well and on a high and Rohr has made competition for places intense. Over the next 7-8 months, players will be trying their best to catch his eye and I have identified 4 players who could add quality to a squad that is already f...

Re: I don't agree with Rohr but believe this is his 23 right
From Ayo Akinfe's 23; Ahmed Musa will go to the World Cup. Gernot Rohr sees Ahmed Musa as that necessary speedster that will check opposition attacks in the 2nd half. His role in our qualifiers confirm that. Mikel Agu will go to the World Cup. Gernot Rohr sees Mikel Agu as a ball winner and distrib...

Simply sensational: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v3Z-7UjIIzU See class, pace, finesse, goals, counter-attacking, etc. Dude, abegi quit watching highlights - there’s a reason it’s called “highlights”! Watched (and DVR’ed) the entire game, and France should have made easy work of it. This penchant...

Re: Nigeria v Arg: The Excellent, The Good, The Average, The
I’m not a fan yet. I think Iwobi and Iheanacho would have a hard time against a back 4/5 in a competitive match. Maybe Vic Mo and Ighalo would have fared better but Kele and Iwobi were often isolated ...especially in the first half, and they lack the prowess and technical ability to handle that man...

You obviously don't know what you are taking about. Balogun is a Bundesliga player and has been one of our best defenders so far - has saved us several times. His first touch also looks too heavy for me but he is a good defender with great positioning. One of our better players. Nevertheless, overa...

Re: Rohr Comments on Ogu
John Ogu will definitely make the WC squad. I see him being a first choice replacement for either Onazi or Ndidi. I have never been a fan of Ogu ( I always thought he lacks pace, passing ability and creativity) but now I think he deserves his spot. He is a solid player who can win possession and kee...

Sounds like reporter is trying too hard to fly a kite... Again, not a betting man but willing to bet that Uzoho will NOT start in Tuesday's game. Gotti, you are one of the most reputable forumers. But I have to disagree with you on this one. It is not unrealistic at all that Uzoho starts in Tuesday...

Costa Rica? Really? Lol Yes. Costa Rica who reached the quarter-final in their last WC. And they were only stopped by the Netherlands on penalties. An achievement no nigerian team has ever reached so far. Again Costa Rica? Really? This is not Nigeria or another country beating them. This is Spain. ...

Re: Exclusive : Russian-Nigerian Left Back Idowu Arrives...
Great news. I can see Rohr playing Ebuehie and Idowu as his fullbacks. Other new faces he must try include Uzoho and Kayode. I also expect Onyekuru to start. Aina has only played 1 full match for us and it seems he is now a key player. He will start vs Argentina, take that to the bank, in fact he s...

Re: Nigeria is the most consistent team in Africa...
I agree. But we should not put too much meaning to that and rest on our merits. The level of african national teams compared to the best nations on the planet is quite low. We should now reach for higher challenges and establish ourselves as one of the elite teams worldwide by further working hard a...

Re: I/Coast v Morocco 0-1
Ivory Coast illustrates perfectly how crucial a well balanced defense is.
They are actually the more potent team but are defensively undisciplined.
Thank god our defensive liability is a thing of the past.
Nevertheless our defense needs a good goalkeeper and tests against world class oppositions.

Re: Call it. Who will grab the ticket? CIV or Morocco?
Morocco will surely take this one home.
They have a coach who knows the opponent in and out.
Ivory Coast is way past its prime.
Morocco on the other hand is a solid side. The best North African team maybe.

Let me add a thought on the actual topic. I believe that the search for a replacement for Ighalo continues. If he is injured there is nobody to replace him adequately at the moment. I hope that Victor Osihmen gets some minutes in the Bundesliga soon. I rate him very highly. But he needs establish h...
