I will agree with Yujam. When you choose to defend a mistake can easily cost you the game, especially at the end when the defneders are tired. If Englans really wanted to win the game, Roonet should have stayed on the pitch. He was the most potent force upfront.

I beg am i watch the game most of the french stars didnt turn up, although the french had more possession they counln't break down a rugged and rigid english defense. I still cant understand why rooney was withdrawn . Withdrawing Rooney from the game is the best move made by the England's coach in ...

Undermine Ivory Coast at your own cost. These guys beat Cameroon 3-0 after WC 2002. I don't think it was a fluke.

Holland No1 by a long shot. I was gonna say England since their win in 1966 was controversial but they don't really qualify for this list. France managed to leave this list by hosting the tournament.

Success at the Olympic games is overrated if it doesn't trnsform into success at the highest level. With all the age-cheating (not just Africa), personally I have only casual interest in Age-grade competitions We are shooting ourselves in the foot by fielding these overaged players. These tournamen...

Claude Leroy has a good eye for spotting talent. He brought Angibeau and Njanka to the team in 1998. He also recommended Weah to Monaco in 1988, though Weah already, arguably the best player in the cameroonian league. He is also a good leader but I have some reservation about his techincal abilities...

It will happen one day. Naija and Cameroon have won the Olympics... it is a matter of time. I am not so convinced. Not to diminish Nigeria and Cameroon's achievements but the big teams especially the European ones don't take the Olympic tournament seriously. anyway i hope your prediction is right. ...

I really think it was. Had we lost to Nigeria in the first round, Schaeffer we could have had a chance of going further in the competition.

The French have a good grooming system for young players. You can notice that most francophone players have been trained at french academies.

I did not see the game but the coach clearly did not want to take any risks. Egypt is rated third by Fifa ratings and it is difficult to play when you only need a draw. Had Cameron and Egypt play in QF it would have been a very different game.

Guys, today's game is won in the midfield and Cameroon has one of the strongest midfield in the world, that's why they defeated Brazil and turkey and went to overtime with France in the CC. Cameroons midfield with players like Idrissou, Mbami, Geremi, Olembe, Djemba Djemba, Mazague, Atouba is the d...

Junk journalism? The article does even mention the TV channel where the interview was made. What makes you think it is incorrect?

I am not sure if the problems lies in the web-translation but in the original text in French it says that Martins was born in Bakassi. The article does not discuss his ethnic affiliation.
