I agree with you on most things except the statement that CCC did the best with what he had. Regarding Okocha, Chukwu was in the same situation at the last Unity Cup games in London. Okocha kept on saying he will turn up (even promising the organisers up to the day before the match) but he never did...

Half Time scores 0 - 0.

On the phone to my brother in Nigeria, says game likely to end in a draw. Says he can't see how we can beat them, they are very organised.

I know he will be back (the bobo refuses to go away) but definitely not in full force.

I hope he dosen't play for Nigeria again. Lets give others the chance to prove themselves.

Can I add that the tickets are genuine. I have a close relationship with the organisers and I made arrangements to get tickets for this purpose. The match tickets are priced at £15, £25, £30. I choose the £30 tickets because they are not behind the goalpost. May I also add that I am not making any m...

Unity Cup Tickets

I have access to about 100 tickets each for both Nigeria games on the East and West stands and I was wondering if CE members would like to book tickets in the same section. It will be possible to arrange to meet up with representatives at a place like mama calabar in Hendon. One benefit is that all ...

Though Ii am happy for Oruma, I still don't think he has anything to offer Eagles. Oruma has been tried and tested on a number of occasions and he has failed to impress. Moreover he is not as young as most poeple make him to be. He was in the same Eaglets team as Kanu, Babayaro, Ojigwe and according...

Information re ISAH ELIAKWU

An italian friend of mine, who is well connected in the Italian football scene, made the following comment in one of his emails: "PS: Inter Primavera Nigerian player ISAH ELIAKWU has made the first team for the Uefa Cup game against Sochaux. He is damn good !!!". He saw him play in a Prima...

Can anyone tell us how many caps Ekwueme has (not counting the last ANC)? I am not sure if we can say it is his inexperience or just lack of quality that made him look pretty poor during the tournament. I saw him at the Niger v Venuzuela game and he didn't look too bad, though I noticed there was ve...

chief nfachairman, I'm sorry but your defensive midfielders are not up to the job. I have my suspicions concerning Ekong. How can this be the best defensive midfielders we have in the whole of Nigeria. Something is wrong somewhere. Most other countries use a mix of home based and overseas. The objec...

I am sure most of the Nigerians in Tunisia will be praying fervently as they normally do. Even the supporters club don't joke with their prayers. I heard on the radio that the supporters club prayed for hours on the morning of the South Africa game. God will protect his people.

There is nothing wrong if CCC speaks to his mentors or ex-bosses regarding tactics. At the end of the day, he has to decide whether their advice is worth anything. I suspect he is beginning to listen to the other local coaches around him also because I was really impressed with the tactics he employ...

Garba Lawal proved that a player who knows how to play his position is better that one who thinks he can take on the whole pitch. He followed Geremi all day and the guy ran out of ideas. For someone who is clubless, he has proved to be a revelation.

The bottom line - Jag has lost some of his touches when you compare him to the FIFA'99 in Nigeria. He has looked out of sorts recently. I wonder if any of our coaches checked him out before inviting him to camp. Players do go through bad patches and I don't think Ukraine is doing him any favours. Ja...
