Re: Goodluck knocks out the NFF
Difference is that GEJ can exploit huge political capital from the issue. A good performance at the 2014 WC will become a campaign issue. Keshi must continue to succeed to get the backing. However with NFF they can still sack him even with good results. Keshi just need to keep his part of the deal....

Re: THE EAGLES FAMOUS HUDDLE IS RELIGIOUSLY INSENSITIVE
I believe a one minute period for individual reflection should be enough for such a huddle, especially in a country like Naija. It's quite disturbing seeing some player(s) going on-and-on with gesticulations and lip movements as if on a crusade. These are the sort of things that should have been sor...

Re: Short term matters arising. SE vs England at Wembley.
What's the fascination with playing England, as if we're trying to legitimize the SE? If England wins the Euro tournament, would they care to play Naija? It's time we discard of the colo-mentality of always trying to hobnob with bad football. I suggest we play Germany, Brazil, Holland, Columbia, and...

Re: Dangote lavishes Eagles with $800,000 reward
It's quite unfortunate the way some people are criticizing just for the sake of it. This is not the first time Dangote had spent his money on Naija sports. Some critics just couldn't hide their prejudices, as they make weak arguments on the issue. One can just imagine the weak response these same pe...

So, once accused always guilty? Na wa o.ohenhen1 wrote:Will set the wrong precedent, would be a stupid idea by CAF for them to rescind the red card.
I truly wish he plays on Sunday. So the Burkinabes will have no excuse of having a depleted team.

Re: Track Burkina Faso Patriopa Appeal here!
This is the time Naija needs Amos Adamu , but without someone with his clout, CAF will likely bow down and allow Patroika to play. I believe our players will take them more seriously if Patrioka plays so it will help SE in the end. Cmoke Where is the shame? Is this the same Adamu that was found tak...

Re: Emenike this, Emenike that
If you want to see the best of Emenike (and worst of Ambrose), watch a tape of Spartak Moscow's game against Celtic at Celtic Park, where Emenike simply bullied and ran rings around the Celtic defence (especially Ambrose). 1) Emenike simply imposed his will on Ambrose (and Brown) and ran them ragge...

Re: Stephen Keshi - A remarkable African football personalit
I am trying to understand Keshi. He was 18 in 1980. By my calculation, he would have been 32 in 1994. How come he barely could run at 32? He committed several mistakes against CIV in the semi final. Does it mean 32 is too old to play? Elexus the spoiler. Why waste an opportunity to sour the thread ...

Re: Stephen Keshi - A remarkable African football personalit
YUJAM, you said it all. I just hope the NFF realize what they have in Keshi and encourage him to achieve more for the country. One thing I've noticed about Keshi is that he has managed to secure the respect of traditional 'big men' in camp. Having the likes of Yobo and Uche on the bench, and seeing ...

Re: I AM STILL NOT COVINCED KESHI IS A GREAT COACH
Great write-up solowe . I wish you would realise that the current SE team is not the final product, but a work in progress. Like you observed, our play against CIV is the most coordinated I have seen the SE play for a long time. All that is needed is for the coaching crew to continue having the play...

Keshi showed guts with his selection, and his tactics for the match was just right.

Re: GREAT WIN BUT KESHI IS STILL A QUESTION MARK !!
Guys, kash n' karry just need some attention.
If we push him further, he will request Naija hire the CIV coach for $100,000 a month.
Keshi so far has shown some guts with his selection and tactics on this victorious matchup.
Anyone who says otherwise is just full of it.

Re: CIV this CIV that...Lets ask ourselves this question...
Great perspective, except that you are addressing folks who like to anoint winners before the game is played. These are the same people who always make definitive calls on match results, and you wonder why they want to see a game they already know the result of. Aside from team experience, CIV Eleph...

Re: WESTERN MEDIA NOT COVERING AFRICAN CUP OF NATIONS
ITV and Eurosport have been showing live matches in the UK. ITV have broadcast one live match per day whilst Europsport have shown every single match. But overall I'm not surprised that there is a lack of interest from the West. If we ourselves do not value things that are African, why should anybo...

Who wan Naija to wear all the Ankara Print and Damask some teams have been parading in like peacocks?
SE's uniform is very appropriate and simple as far as national team wears are concerned.

I wonder when the clueless NFF bullying scumbags will tender their individual resignations.

Re: DONT KNOW WAT U GOT TILL ITS GONE-re kaita
Couldn't agree with you more! This occured to me while watching Ogude wobble against Burkina Faso. I remember the 2010 African Nations Cup, with our midfield and defense struggling to contain the super talented Stephan Sessegnon. After watching the Benin playmaker torment our boys for much of the g...

Re: WHO IS CAPE VERDE ?
They have talent Mr Puff . To say otherwise is to admit the SE don't have talent. What the coach did with the talent at his disposition is having them play as a team. The SE are very jagged, and the team focus is not there yet. In short the SE lacks cohesion and a collective sense of purpose. Even M...

Re: WHO IS CAPE VERDE ?
I observed that Cape Verdean players are more composed on the ball than the SE, and also have better team focus.
To me they are better than 'Cinderella' Ethiopia.
The only way SE will beat these guys is via 'Jambodi'.

First we have to look at previous captains to see what qualities each brought to the team to generate the respect that goes with the position. Captains like Chukwu, Keshi, Kanu all have attributes and memorable performance on their resume, that naturally help command the respect of fellow players. B...

Re: 10 problems I have with this team
This team is very undisciplined period . Sorry to say this, but I am very happy we did not win this match. Else, victory would have been a great facade for a bad performance. By this I mean the team failed to understand the simple importance of quick and accurate selfless passing. Worse of all is th...
