Re: THOMAS TUCHEL: End of the Road
^Bayern have been blighted by injuries but nevertheless the performances were poor. The die is cast for Thomas the temperamental tank engine. He could win whatever remains to be won, he’s done for. Will they win the UCL? they’ve a chance, they’re Bayern, but expect Real to Rocky their way to the fin...

Die BundesEasy. Harrison Ogbunigwe thumps in his 4th hattrick of the campaign. 40+ league goals beckons. The English gentleman smashing die Krauts once again, just like in ‘45.

@Jette, couldn’t be further from the truth. The boundless expanse of language is one of nature’s most eternal veracities. Poetics, a world as rich in wonder as that stood neath the rabbit hole. Dive brethren, deep to its core, as if to nestle amongst the potpourri of petiole and clover.

Much like Joshua-Ngannou, one of the two (Liverpool, City) will take a biblical flogging on the weekend. Accumulator: Four or more goals, 12 or more corners, 3 yellow cards.

Djimi Traore is a Champions’ Leagues winner. Gen Z mentality.
Odegaard is a delight to watch but needs longevity to stand next to Cesc Fabregas in Arsenal colours. Both marvellous midfielders nonetheless.

Re: Ejuke showcases Okocha-like ability in Belgium: Time to replace subpar Chukwueze?
@Damunk, the art of dribbling has the unrehearsed, impromptu at its heart. As entertaining as this is for the audience, most managers/coaches keep a wide berth from such players. The impromptu adds an element of chaos in age where order is the demand. Anthony, Mudryk, Adama Traore; Newcastle cutting...

Re: How far would we have gone at WC 1998 with Bonfrere?
@Africanus, the “attacking football” label is casually thrown around, more often than not, as misnomer. Again, one would ask, “what constitutes attacking football? Is it the number of attackers in the starting lineup? The number of players committed to transitions and attack? The speed with which th...

Did Argentina play beautiful attacking football or grind and wear teams down? Their midfield was packed full of workaholics who put in more of a shift than Orwell’s Boxer.

Impressive “freestyle” footballing. Before casting the dye, lest one forget, Chukwueze too has a YouTube compilation worthy accolade. Drag backs, stepovers, lollipops, Jolly Ranchers. Both, on their day, are talented entertainers. From an actual “footballing” point of view, is there any difference i...

Re: If NFF HAVE to pick a foreign coach, we should go for an Argentine coach
FYI, during his time in the Yorkshire dales, Leeds had the highest sprint output in…the world of football. That’s sprints alone, both with and without the ball. Most high intensity sprints? Most distance covered? Leeds United, by a country 10 miles. Absolutely incompatible.

@AA, imagine what? There’s a reason no Nigeria team, in recollection, has ever buzzed around like the Duracell energy bunny on Molly, they can’t do it. One cannot simply wake up and add an extra 2-3KM on top of their ninety minutes. If Bielsa went anywhere near that squad, he’d be serving no less th...

Thomas the Bipolar Tank Engine, is a runaway train on most tracks. Give him an Aston Villa and he’d tear up the daisies, give him a Munich and he’ll reduce the rose bush to poison ivy.

@Scipio, re: they will survive. No they won’t. Sorry, Bielsa-ball is at the bonkers end of the energy expenditure spectrum. Sprints, kilometres per ninety, there’s no comparison or evidence to suggest compatibility. That demand would leave bodies strewed across the training pitch. There has not been...
