Re: Should Yusuf start v Cameroun?
Reports are that Yusuf, Nacho and Troost have all resumed full training with the team. Should Yusuf start and how does he fit into 343/352 formation? Nacho replacing Chukwueze on the right is like the best move but will Nacho be able to handle the defensive responsibilities in a 343? Chukwueze wasn...

Re: RAINBOW BEHIND OUR SECOND FINISH CLOUD
SE has had a poor start to the AFCON…. With all the attacking talent (most dropping off injured like flies), we have only scored 1 (one) goal from open play BUT the most maligned defence… has considered 1 (one) goal all tournament…..as well?? That led to a second place finish….. This might sound ba...

One game at a time….no guarantees
This time two years ago we were looking past Tunisia after we flattered to deceive with 9 points

The interim coach is an ex international who played at the 2006 WC and multiple ANCs

Stranger things have happened….they’ve fired the coach and IF they get a second chance I wouldn’t want to meet them next….Undertaker wrote: ↑Tue Jan 23, 2024 11:30 pm CIV will make it and play Senegal! They will then beat Senegal and the rest is history!

Welcome to Cybereagles!
I agree with you that we’re playing well and creating chances which we really need to start converting, however I’m not so bullish about playing Cameroon!
Local “derbies” vs Ghana/CIV/Cameroon aren’t necessarily about who’s playing well because they can be chaotic.

Re: Ratings and Report as Nigeria beats Guinea Bissau 1-0....
Prof some thoughts on the game: I feel the back 3 takes away from our midfield especially against a team like GB who weren’t looking to be adventurous, it made more sense vs the hosts and the result/performance justified it We played a more ambitious EG with a back 4 and 3 in midfield, dominated pos...

I’m not sure 3 at the back is necessary against this unadventurous GB
We need an extra body in midfield

I think Peseiro was somewhat forced into the lineup once Alhassan became unavailable, he clearly doesn’t trust Onyedika but today’s shape allowed him to fit Bassey in….

Re: Nigeria vs Equatorial Guinea : (1-1) OSimhen FT
Interesting reading all the responses here….. For me this glass is half full; the coach made most of the changes people asked for: 1.) Replaced Uzoho with Nwabali, jury is still out given EG had one chance and scored from it but it was absolutely the right call 2.) Switched from 4-4-2 to 4-3-3 with...
