Can Eagles repeat the second half performance in every match
Nigeria's second half display was excellent. Until the second half, Nigeria never exhibited such a class. Eagles chased every ball, fought as though their lives depended on it. Until the second half, there was no hint, Eagles could perform in such a manner. Every Eagles' attack in the second half lo...

Re: FRANCIS UZOHO
God bless him. He delayed that penalty. He intentionally left his goal area and I don't know if he went to watch the VAR. He delayed so much so that the referee had to warn him. That delay might have cost Sigurdson the penalty who, according to the commentator had taken 25 penalties coming into this...

Re: I hope we WIN or LOSE against ICELAND
Why do we have to lose? If we draw and beat Argentina and Croatia draw or beat Iceland, we finish as runners up. I am trying hard to understand why we have to lose if we cannot win. If we get a win and a draw, we might qualify assuming Croatia do not lose the match with Iceland.

Re: Way too passive to win a game at the World Cup
We played very disjointedly in the first half. Ighalo was totally isolated. I cannot fault our goalkeeper for the goals. He would have saved the first goal had there been no deflection. The penalty was too harsh. Many teams have done that, and no penalty was given. Mandzukic was no where near the ba...

Re: Loris Karius: Liverpool keeper concussed during C. LG FI
If he suffered a concussion, then he should have demanded that he be substituted. His blunders are unpardonable. He reminds me of our secondary school goalkeeper in a cup final against our bitter rivals. Our goalkeeper allowed a routine shot to roll past him into the net. When the mob went for him a...

Re: After much thought, here are my World Cup predictions
Egypt will qualify from this group or possibly win this group. I think Egypt have benefited from not qualifying for the world cup. They seem mature now especially defensively. They used to attack with reckless abandon needlessly exposing themselves at the back. They don't do that anymore. They embar...

Re: Croatian coach says he did not want "fearless" Nigeria
The Croats are very creative. They have midfielders with tremendous work rate. It is going to be a bloodbath in this group. And I hate to play against Iceland. Iceland would pack the bus and hit on the counter. Nigeria have problems playing against teams that pack the bus. It was very easy to win ou...

Re: A World Cup Perspective Part 1 of 5
The Pharaohs were supposed to qualify in 1998 instead of Cameroon. The Pharaohs were leading in the group comprising of Egypt, Cameroon, Zimbabwe and Liberia. Because of a crowd trouble in Egypt v Zimbabwe, the match that Egypt won was replayed in a neutral ground in Europe. This time it ended in 0-...

Re: Only the dishonest will say we are better than Senegal o
South Africa-Senegal match was a world-cup standard. Both teams came to play. South Africa played like a team playing at home. They played well in a losing cause. Senegal had an impregnable defence and did their home work. They did not waste their chances. But it was an extremely entertaining match.

Re: WILL CAMEROON GO TO THE BENCH?
The same thing that happened to Nigeria is happening to Cameroon even Italy. Nigeria won the 2013 Nations cup, suddenly the coach abandoned seasoned players in favour of lesser established players and Nigeria was doomed. Hugo Broos won the Nations cup without 7 established players who could not come...

Ghana relied too much on Gyan. Imagine that Gyan played in 2006;2010;2014 and if Ghana were to qualify, 2018 world cup finals. Which player has featured in 4 world cup finals?

CAF.COM Cameroon Vs Nigeria 4:0
I was surfing on the CAF,com and I came across the aforementioned headline. The headline shows irredeemable incompetence by the author. The author must be a Cameroon sympathizer who is still reeling from that crushing defeat by the Super Eagles.

Re: Do Nigerians hate Ghanaians
We want Ghana to qualify for the world cup because Africa would be creditably represented. But we don't want Ghana to win Africa cup because Ghana would gloat like gloating sadists. And it would make it difficult for us to catch up. Right now we only have to win one more time and we are even.

The score line really must flatter Senegal. Tunisia must learn to take their chances. They played really well. Tunisia started badly against extremely physical Senegalese.

The second goal surprises me. Ghana had four or five men around the scorer, yet somehow they let the guy fire the shot away.

Best match the SE have played since 2000
This was the best match Eagles have played since 2000 (Nigeria vs Morocco). Make no mistake this was a very good Algerian team. Although we were a little lucky, but overall Eagles played well with very few mistakes. It seems that Eagles tend to play well against an offensive minded team. An offensiv...

The Algeria 1982 world cup team is the best team in its history. The team featured Ali Fergani, wonder and mad dribbler Lakhdar Belloumi, and African best winger at the time Rabah Madjer.
