Re: Equatorial Guinea vs Guinea ( 0-1 ) FT
Guinea won it at the last minute. But Guinea isn't a good team, IMO. I don't expect them to get past the QF

Re: The Cameroonian lect back, Nouhou
I mentioned that he had some crucial blocks but those were just a small part of his overall performance. For me, he was a level below the standard required for that level of play.

Re: The Cameroonian lect back, Nouhou
Hmmm. Not sure what game you were watching? His play was so bad, it was almost comical. Gonzalez gave away a goal but he was decent. Toko was quite poor though. Seattle Sounders legend, very good player... he played no worse than ten others, Oumar Gonzalez and Toko Ekambi stand out as far worse perf...

Re: The Cameroonian lect back, Nouhou
Yes. He was lucky not to receive a red on that play. Dang, I am yet to see a poorer performance at the tournament. He did make one or two crucial blocks but he was unable to participate in their collective play or defend properly. He played like he was drunk, completely lost on the field and unable ...

Dang, I am yet to see a poorer performance at the tournament. He did make one or two crucial blocks but he was unable to participate in their collective play or defend properly. He wasn't at his smoothest today. But he was solid defensively and covered ground offensively. These things aren't easy to do. So one has to give the guy some credit.

Poor guy. What is happening at Barca is just bizarre because they've just found creative ways to lose matches. I simply don't get it.
Anyway, Xavi has to take responsibility for the bizarre losses

Re: Nigeria vs Cameroon (2-0) Lookman x2 Hangs, Our Osimhen, Bassey assists) FT
What a performance by Nigeria. The defense was solid, and I can't think of a clear chance Cameroon created in this game. Osihmen, despite not scoring, was immense. He worked really hard, harrying the Cameroon central defenders into making mistakes. Make no mistake about it. This was a tactically ast...

Re: AFCON knockout bracket set
He actually has been in CIV for a while, before Gassett was sacked. Yaya Toure is actually assistant to Mancini who is coaching the Saudis. Both Yaya and Kolo have their FIFA A licenses but the Ivorians continue to recycling these spent Oyinbo coaches. wowoism at its best and quite amusing to watch ...

Morocco head coach is a local coach. Senegal head coach is a local coach. E Guinea coach is a local coach. Meanwhile Ivory coast sacks their Wowo coach and reappoints Herve Renard in the middle of a tournament lol. Kai, what exactly can he bring to the team at this time besides psychological boost?...

Re: Ivorians no get shame
CIV no get shame, for sure. They tried to get Herve Renard to coach them for the remainder of the tournament but were turned down by the French football federation. As for the game, it is going to be a really hard game for Senegal. But they are the African champs and these are the kind of games they...

The Ivorians will learn the hard way that there are no quick fixes in today's football Well, Havre is already in CIV. He could get a quick short contract, if the FFF is OK with it. Re: Let Algeria’s elimination serve as a warning to the arrogant
I think the Algerian team needs a bit of tweaking, and its clear that their coach just couldn't do it any longer. Their team actually has some youth but they also have a few ageing stars, whether its Mahrez, Slimane, Bounedjah and Belaili. Perhaps a new coach with a new perspective will be able to f...

Re: Mauritania vs Algeria (1-0) FT( They make history)
Enough of the self denigrating talk. This AFCON has been awesome for sure. The quality of football and refereeing have all improved. I believe that other teams have improved a lot and have closed the gap. It has nothing to do with the top teams regresing. Morocco were in the WC semis just a few mont...
