Re: It is time for the NFF to launch Operation Columbus

This is symptomatic of the cluelessness that afflicts Nigerians; misplaced priorities. Given the state of affairs in our country, football ought to be one of the last items on our list of priorities and our resources should be channeled to more important things like lifting all of our citizens out ...

Re: What Manner of Defence is Peseiro Putting Up for Zaidu?

Aina is good but can be careless at times. Look at his attitude after the Angolan
went through the defenders and took that shot that hit bounced of the upright.
He certainly was not interested in at least chasing him.

Re: Boniface fit in current system

If fans are complaining while the team is winning, I wonder what hell
will break out in a loss. It's been said that, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it".
I guess our resident ITK coaches just want to add some salt, pepper, and a little more heat.

Re: What Manner of Defence is Peseiro Putting Up for Zaidu?

After all these rantings, not one of those against Zaidu named a credible replacement sitting on the bench. Which is why the coach keeps fielding him. With all the criticism of the player, one would think tons of goals have been from his errors, and that he has zero impact on the matches. Some peopl...

Re: No group winners in the last 4

This confirms the level of the competition, especially when one recalls
that Ivory Coast sneaked into the knockout round with two points.
The big surprises are Mauritania and Gambia. Two teams that played good
football and can only improve.

If Mbappe truly ends up at Real Madrid, lions will grow horns before they add Osimhen.
Arsenal need an Osimhen-type player, but they can't afford him. Liverpool might be a fit
depending on who the next coach is.

Re: Pesseiro triggers contract renewal

Thank God 'CE coaches and administrators' have no influence non Pesseiro's fate.
All this talk, and people still can't see why SE would probably not get any high level
coach - incompetent NFF and affordability. We cannot be aspiring for a Lamborghini
coach with McDonalds earning and bad organization.

If we can just learn to be less selfish, make accurate passes in the box, and stop being overzealous
when chances for shooting are present, we will be ok. I can't believe this is still an issue at this level.

We cannot afford to be missing too many glaring chances, nor should we indulge
in Latin shenanigans with the Angolans who are the African version of Ecuador.

Re: Morocco vs South Africa (0-2) FT

I wonder who can identify football Big-Boys and minnows on the continent. I guess that will be those who watch the game with prejudice. Going forward, I believe African football qualifiers for world events will be hard to predict. This will be good for the sport, except for those who believe things ...

Re: Mali vs Burkina Faso (2-1) own goal Tapsoba

Some names appear in a lot of places in Africa. Without knowing the teams, team list for these two teams could come from either country by player names. Maybe Africa is just too fractured geographically. That is the result of geographical borders that cut across ethnic lines which leave same people...

Re: Our long throw ins are a missed opportunity

When one considers the average height of our forwards, long high throws do not favor us. Imagine long, high throws into the box with our short (except Osimhen) forwards. Same thing for corner kicks and freekicks into the 18-yard box, as we will be generally at disadvantage. Thus, we need to play les...

Re: Senegal vs CIV (1-0) Diallo

The odds of Ivory Coast scoring from high crosses is slim. The will need to speed up
their ground passes, and add some on-goal shooting to their efforts. Also on the defending
side, they need to watch out for Senegal's speedy counter attack and not go gung-ho on the attack.

Most of them especially the forwards tend to dribble first rather than think of the pass but Iwobi is always looking for the pass, head up and looking for who's available, even in that Onyeka clip there was a pass to Simon and instead of directing the ball towards goal he wanted to stop it and ball...

C'mon , they are 'minnows' according to some ITKs herein.
Algeria found out the hard way, as they are now spectators.
