Re: Madrid vs City
@Tx, behave. Entertaining exhibition but defensively, a case of who spiked the water bottles. Leading up to Bernie’s free kick, how far was Grealish allowed to carry the ball before being engaged? Looked like an outtake from United vs Liverpool. Camavinga’s equaliser, Grealish returns the complimen...

Re: Losing Saka should be a criminal offense by Pinnick
Even if Saka chose Nigeria, his effectiveness would only be as good as the coach and NFF allows him to be. There would be no point of having a sword one cannot use properly. True. Sakas kind of raw talent is in abundance in Nigeria. That is not the issue. I know we are in denial, but it’s the devel...

Re: Local Coach Advocacy- Like Forrest Gump!
Its not about "isolating football". That's just a red herring. The discussion here is very specifically about coaching... And even for the purposes of argument you considered all aspects of football, its still not relevant to any part of the human development index or any metrics for meas...

Re: Why a Nigerian coach is best suited to coach the SuperEagles…
How do one build a nation if one can't even afford to give the reigns of such mundane tasks as managing and coaching a national football team to a local guy (team) that have been exposed to all the best coaching, facilities, management and support system and has the added advantage of being able to...

Re: Liverpool FC - News, Developments and All Seasons
Very disappointing result given the dominance. For some reason the boys are so wasteful in front of goal. But this was always going to be tough, I felt, and is the toughest road game left IMO. I still think the advantage lies with City, based on strength of schedule... Our forwards have been wastef...

Re: Local Coach Advocacy- Like Forrest Gump!
For me the issue is simple. I do not like Nigerian born coaches. I do not think they are best for SE. Not because I don't think they are not competent. Not at all. But they come with their EXTREME biases, favoritism, tribalism, bigmanism , and propensity to work for THEMSELVES rather than the team....

Re: CAUTION: SE May Not Qualify for WC IF.....
EII, You are splitting hairs here and I'm not sure why you continue to misstate the specifics. Siasia never received any bribe nor did agree to receive one. First he was never charged for receiving bribes. 2nd he was successfully prosecuted for accepting to receive bribes. 3rd CAS never relitigated ...

Re: CAUTION: SE May Not Qualify for WC IF.....
Yeyeman You keep mentioning that Siasia was banned for match-fixing: As far as I can recall, that claim is not accurate. What is accurate is that Siasia was banned for failing to respond, in a timely manner, to allegations of match fixing. There is a difference. If you state otherwise, can you plea...

Re: “It is the turn of the North” – Shameful! Super Eagles coach selection marred by regional politics
Aren’t you concerned that people would rather have any oyibo than give the position to a Northerner? Very concerned and shameful if you ask me. We have to do better. I don't know how we can work on our collective bias. It is hurting us. I'm very concerned that you don't see how ridiculous this thre...
