We let our beards grow until we were either knocked out or lifted the trophy. It’s a shame that teams no longer indulge in that kind of fun. Former PSG star Luis Fernandez

Newcastle players did the same this season but they said they will let it grow till they win their first game.

Kenya did it in 1984. They gave up with 2 games to go in their failed quest to get to the ANC ..after they won 6 corners in a 0-0 tie with Tanzania.
