A member of the deposed board of the Nigeria Football Federation, Chief Felix Anyansi-Agwu has condemned in totality, perpetrators of events that have led to the suspension slammed on Nigeria by the Federation of International Football Association, FIFA.

Reacting to the ban in a chat with Sports Vanguard yesterday, the chairman of Enyimba Football Club of Aba said, “it should now be clear to Nigerians who are the real enemies of Nigeria,” an angry Anyansi-Agwu said.

Continuing, the Enyimba boss retorted, “why should a group of two or three people stand out and want to scuttle what the majority have done. The elections into the board of NFF was free and fair and everybody saw it.

“I want to say in clear terms that this is sabotage against the President of this country who want Nigerian football to move forward. These are the same people who advised him to withdraw Nigeria from international football.

They are at it again. I strongly feel that this group is funded by certain people and now they are satisfied that Nigeria is banned by FIFA

Sports Oct 4, 2010 In his own reaction, former chairman of the Nigeria Professional League Board, Chief Onyuki Obaseki has said that Nigeria’s suspension by FIFA was unfortunate and deplorable.

Obaseki who spoke on a radio programme monitored in Lagos, however questioned FIFA’s meddlesomeness in Nigeria’s internal affairs, saying that the country was a sovereign nation with laws that govern it.

“A court order stopped the NFF from conducting the elections that brought about all these problems. The NFF defied that order and FIFA is now suspending the country,” Obaseki said.

He enjoined the world football ruling body to respect Nigeria and wondered whether FIFA could dictate to Switzerland the way the country was governed.

As far as I am concerned, the ban can stay for as long as possible. It will help to correct major ills on the long run. Those who want the ban over-turned quickly should go and sit their a$$ in a corner. We have swept matters under the carpet for far too long. The idiots running the NFF recently are not on the same planet as the Dankaros and Ikhazobohs!

With the suspension, you will now witness a flurry of meetings between parties who were not talking previously aimed at a resolution. It is our nature and to deny it is simply delusional. What I am saying is that we even forget those meetings and forget a temporary solution now but rather institute a commission that will carry out a root and branch overhaul of our football. Give them 3-6 months to come up with their findings and then implement their proposals.

Chief you have to be a dumb arse if that's all you got from his statement.You should be grateful Anyasi Agwu is offering his service to the NFF. He has already helped Nigeria by piloting Enyimba to two championship cups, something no team could previously achieve.
