On Cesc, the way he left the club was despicable.
But I wish we took him back even if it's just to stop Chelsea from having him.
Maybe take him back and relegate him em, sort of "punish" him or something. Just do anything to keep him from going to the rival.
On his part- what the hell was he thinking signing for Chelsea?
I still can't believe he did that!
I still can't stand seeing him in their colors, playing for them, actually doing well.
Don't think I ever will.

i thought about that too. However, spending £27m on Cesc would have been self-indulgence. Similar to what Barca themselves did. Cesc actually unbalanced Barca and would have done same to Arsenal. We are not one of those clubs that buy a player just for the sake of it or buying a player just to deny the opposition of his services. First, it is immoral, second it is vanity. It is the kind of action that should be left to the likes of Jose alone.
The part of this whole saga that annoys me the most is those Arsenal supporters who support Cesc and blame Wenger for not bringing him back. I'm still waiting for when they will hold him accountable for forcing a move away from the club that made him captain as a boy, made him highest paid player, etc. He reset our progress, and when things didnt work out for him, our club management are now receiving the blame for not unsettling our team to accommodate him. Quite absurd.
Never enter into a quarrel with an id!ot, lest he drag you down to his level and then beat you up with experience.

Sa-No-Goal Warns Welbeck

Arsenal’s 21-year-old French U-21 forward, Yaya Sanogo has expressed confidence that he would hit a good goal scoring form for Arsenal and made it known that new Gunner Danny Welbeck, who signed for Arsenal on deadline day from Manchester United, would have to fight for a place in the team, with him being a strong force to contend with for the centre forward role. Speaking to L’Equipe ( translated by daily star ) after hitting a brace for the U-21 over the weekend, he said: ‘‘He’s (Welbeck’s) going to have to battle for his place in the side. :rotf: :rotf: :rotf:    Last season, I didn’t doubt myself. I was more afraid of getting injured. If the coach brought me in, it’s because he has faith in me. I’ve become more solid. The defenders can be quite nasty. When you come out of Ligue 2, and you know that you are going to come up against (Manchester City’s Vincent) Kompany, it’s quite a thing. But I’ve gained in experience.’’

Yaya Sanogo, who was brought in from Auxerre last season, has struggled in Arsenal despite coming with a good goal scoring credential for the French Ligue 2 side and the French cadre levels of football but also with a very worrisome injury record. He had been the back-up inexperienced attacker for Olivier Giroud at Arsenal until the recent injury to Giroud, which put some pressure on the Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger to sign 23-year-old England and Manchester United forward, Danny Welbeck. Though many supporters of the North London club believe that naturally, Danny Welbeck should lead the Arsenal attack in Giroud’s absence for half of the season because of his Premier League with Manchester United and international experience with the Three Lions of England, Yaya Sanogo thinks Welbeck would have him to battle for the position left open as a result of Giroud’s injury. Sanogo has been criticised by fans and Arsene Wenger’s faith in him sometimes infuriated them over the course of last season. He has been popularly tagged ‘‘SaNOgoals’’ by impatient fans as a result of his goalless run in 16 competitive appearances for the Gunners.

To the fans, he said: ‘‘It’s a big club. The fans know that I’ve scored a lot of goals at youth level, they are putting me under a little bit of pressure. Once I’ve scored my first goal, everything will be fine. It’s their problem if they criticise me. I’ll still be here. I’m going to play, improve and score goals. Sooner or later it’s going to go in. I needed six months to adapt. I’ve had quite a lot of problems. I arrived on one leg. It’s been difficult to adapt to the league. There’s a lack of confidence, perhaps a bit of pressure too. You’re 21 and you play upfront for Arsenal, it’s not easy.’’ Sanogo scored four goals in the 5-1 demolition of Benfica at the Emirates Club during pre-season and that was thought to have restored his confidence and many believed that he would soon get his scoring abilities back. But with recent performances since Olivier Giroud got injured especially against Leicester City, many saw an inexperienced player who cannot be depended upon to lead the Arsenal attack against fierce oppositions in England and in Europe.

Arsenal and the fans would very much benefit from Sanogo’s improvement and goals if he is able to fend off the threat posed by Welbeck but until he starts then, the more experienced Danny Welbeck would be preferred. Only time would tell who between Sanogo and Welbeck would have to battle more to get a place in the starting line-up!

Wellbeck always said growing up as a boy Henry was his hero. Welbeck has also said he envisaged playing for Arsenal while he was at Manure. We now know Henry has been in touch with Welbeck already giving him advice and tips. That finish for his second goal had all the hall marks of a certain finish by Igwe when he destroyed Leeds.

Now to all those of you who doubted and mocked me, with Welbeck delivering goals plus Theo, Alexis, Ozil, Ramsey and Santi. Who says we cannot be up there fighting for the title come the business end of the season. I maintain, if Welbeck score the goals, we are in this title race.

Wenger will tweak the system with Welback and Theo returning. We now have genuine power and pace through the middle, no longer will I go to the Emirates and watch team push up holding a line so high it on the D of the half way line. Team will drop deep from their starting positions giving us immediate territorial supremacy, we will then push the further back on their goal with the pace, power and hustle of the likes Welbeck, Alexis, Theo and Oxlade. Team needs to gel with the introduction of Welbeck and Alexis, hope this happens quickly, once this is happens, we will score a ton of goals.

See the way he celebrate with his Arsenal teammates when he scored. Wilshere has confirmed the role they played in ensuring Welbeck stood his ground and insisted he was coming to Arsenal despite Manure trying hard to force him to sign for Spuds.

hopefully, it all works out well for Arsenal like I hope it will.

Mass hysteria, grossly unsubstantiated. A genius seldom exudes the foolish incompetence and wanton abandon tantamount to true Wengerism. To have waged war with the very same military formation on three occasions and collected half dozens apiece cries fool more than anything else. How the season's change, the very same Wellbeck, Breda etc ridiculed in many threads as a Mancunian, is now the once upon a time teenager who tippexed Henry on the back of his P.E kit.

Armed with the best number 10 in football, till he arrived and then needed "transition time" all the while posting better numbers than Liam Brady at the same stage in his career, the genius failed, miserably. Today, to that world class is added Alexis Sanchez #itsabitchileinhere and now Wellbeck. Of the latter it could be argued, with his pace, power, positioning, work rate and willingness, Wellbeck may well be the most complete forward in world football.

The cause for arguing, with reason, in favour of Beloved's title winning credentials gathers strength. With the squad at his disposal, there is absolutely no justification for anything other than a League or Champions League success. All else is failure.

More success to DW, a young black man, may the path ahead water promise to fruition.

Really wish Danny will excel for his own good. He really isn't up there like people are making him to be now and his signing should not excuse the monumental failure in not signing a DM and a CD
