Eusebio turned out for Portugal though. It's like saying Zinadine Zidane is the best player from Algeria.
Zidane was born and bred in France, Eusebio was born in Mozambique.
Yeah Eusebio also could not play for Mozambique, even if he wanted...while Zidane could.
Buhari, whose two terms thankfully ground to a constitutional halt in May. (One thing both democracies have going for them is that their leaders, however bad, have only two terms to swing the wrecking ball.) Under Buhari, growth per head also plunged to 0. An economic agenda drawn from the dusty pages of a 1970s protectionist handbook failed to do the trick. Despite Buhari’s promise to tame terrorism and criminality, violence flourished. Despite his reputation for probity, corruption swirled. FT

Probably because Mozambique footy didn't exist back then. Then again neither did Mozambiqe either come to think of it. When did they gain independence? Eusebio has probably retired by then. :D

Is it a good thing for a country if the choice is unanimous like Weah, Abedi Pele, Aubamayeng, etc.? Or there is some difference of opinion like with Nigeria, CIV, Cameroon, etc?

as far as Zimbabwe is concerned, i can assure you there are many people who swear by Moses Chunga or Peter Ndlovu's 2 brothers - Madinda & Adam and of-course Bruce Bruce Grobellaar

Then there is Willard Khumalo, Ndunduma, Benjamin Konjera, Stix Mutizwa, Majola, i can go on and on.

And Benjani is not even in the top 100, thats the general opinion in Zim :rotf: :rotf:

People are listing Kanu's accomplishments in age grade football. Those don't count. Compare the big three objectively as follows:

Kanu - no Nations cup, several European titles and no notable World Cup appearances

Okocha - Nations cup, no continental titles, World Cup all star

Mikel - Nations cup, Premier League titles, continental titles, World Cup 2nd round.

OK, you guys can talk all the nonsense you want but Mikel is clearly the man :!: :!: :!:

Cheers.

Actually to be fair even Kanu's club accomplishments, how many can you say he played an integral part of? He was a late sub at both Ajax and Arsenal.

Yes Mikel may have played a pivotal role in the ANC but not at the world cup. Just like with Kanu, I really have a hard time believing our best ever player was at best a bench player during the prime of this career accomplishments only being subbed in when the game is in the bag or out of reach. That's insulting to Nigeria when you compare the likes of Eto'o, Weah, Abedi Pele and Droggles.

Of those three I'd probably go with Okocha.

Farras or Faraz is a player from the late 60s and early 70s. He was very good!

Just culled this from Wiki: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ahmed_Faras
Ahmed Faras (Arabic: أحمد فرس‎) (born 7 december 1946 in Mohammedia) is a former Moroccan football forward. He was named African Footballer of the Year in 1975, and spent all of his playing career with his native Chabab Mohammédia.

Faras was a member of Morocco national football team from 1965 to 1979, wearing captain's armband for eight consecutive years, starting from 1971. On international level, Ahmed Faras took part in the 1970 FIFA World Cup in Mexico[1] and 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich,[2] before leading his team the African Cup of Nations success in 1976.

Faras scored a total of 42 goals for his national side. He won the Moroccan League in 1981 and finished as the league's top-scorer in 1969 and 1973. The legendary Moroccan forward retired in 1982, after spending a total of 17 years with the club.

In 2006, Faras was selected by CAF as one of the best 200 African football players of the last 50 years

For Zambia apart from the obvious Kalusha Bwalya you also have the likes of Peter Kaunda, Derby Mankinka and Charles Musonda who all balled for Zambia with distinction.

Okocha and Muda > Yekini? Based on what?

Kanu based on what?
