After watching this, I believe we need to ask serious questions of Oliseh.

Mali played very well against this Tunisia squad but the home based squad was played off the field by this same Tunisia side. It ain't as if Mali has better home based players than Nigeria
Mali through to the semis by winning 2 to 1

Only due to Bguir and Akaichi this Tunisian side made the quarterfinals. Injures and arrogance saw this coach staff select a terrible squad, defensive and GK selections particularly laughable. Add the age old issue of porous fitness levels of Tunisian players... another QT finals exit in a CAF tournament.

The Ivorian analysts savaging Tunisia. Their point is Tunisia doesn't respect the game: That often times they stop playing and resort to underhanded tactics to see out a game.

He's right.

Our league is a disgrace, out of 90 minutes one will be lucky to witness 40 minutes of actual time played. Conditioning poor+wn at all costs mentality.

State of Tunisian football as bad as it's been in 30 years.

You still have one of the best in Africa and I think for a nation of your size, you've done remarkaby well

I guess the commentators felt Tunisia stopped playing after the first half because they expected to cruise through this one. This approach was problematic because once Mali raised its game, it was difficult for Tunisia to recover from its 'lax' state

They did not stop playing, they had little left in the tank. It's why Tunisian NT and clubs so good at home but mediocre on our travels. In Tunis we can force opposition to play at our tempo, not the case abroad. The Coach had to sub out our 2 best creative players in Begur and Moncer because they were gassed.

Mali knew this, they were composed, just kept leaning on Tunisia like we were a 3 legged chair.

Problem is the mentality of Tunisian clubs retain on football.... they have an Eddie Guerrero philosophy "We lie", "We Cheat", "We steal".

This is the complete opposite of how they played against Nigeria. They dominated the second half of that one completely. My feeling is that against Nigeria they were able to make tactical changes that Oliseh could not figure out

Anyway Zambia vs Guinea up next.

The Guineans are starting to test the Zambians big time. They are probing the Zambians and I think it may just be a matter of time before they start asking serious questions

Yes and despite being non-Nigerian, I've done more for this forum than you will in 1000 years

Still tied at zero. Zambians seem to be getting into this a bit more now

You are not listening to what he is saying...the Tunisians did not stop playing out of arrogance....it is something that has become a habbit and a norm in their game. Poor conditioning that sees them only surviving to a certain part of the game and from there they resort to everything and anything available to see them through the rest of the game.

But they did not play this way against Nigeria which saw them dominate the second half?
