So it’s the babariga and agbada wearing politicians that invited Etebo and Onyeka too? The ones you just said shouldn’t have been invited.Tobi17 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 04, 2022 4:25 amEMIR
This isn't even funny anymore, it used to be but while we are making light of this, it appears some Babariga and Agbada wearing politicians have seriously bought over our football structure to serve their own personal interests and impose certain players on our national team manager's...it doesn't make sense anymore to me.

I don't know on who's advice this list was made, but I think we are missing individuals that we ought to invite to try them out, such as A. Amoo, Ebuehi, Ejuke, Nwakali, Awoniyi, Onwachu; to name a few. It is mind boggling to still retain those who did not show real quality in the two previous matches. Invite more individuals, please.Tobi17 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 04, 2022 4:23 am Even as bad as it gets inviting Musa and Shehu, who in his right mind invites Etebo and Onyeka?both players haven't even played a single minute of football between them all season!!! and isn't Etebo still nursing an injury? And didn't Bonke just pick up an injury against Mexico? I think it's gotten to that stage where I should forget about Nigerian football in all honesty

Why do we persist with this view? These players are not robots, several play multiple positions and have demonstrated this several times. On that list we have seen Bassey, Shehu, and Faisal play in midfield. Not so?

That is a must! 6 points and at least 10 goals!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Btw, I spoke to a Journalist friend of my (Mexican dude)who watched both games and he was very impressed with Nigeria he was shocked we aren't going to the World Cup because in his eye the team is "Very good"
I SEE DEAD PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Re: Peseiro Invites Squad for Upcoming AFCONQ.....
They are primarily defenders and are not better or even as good playing in midfield than some midfielders that have been left out. Let’s not call bad good. SE coaches have been the same thing over and over again. You have 4 defensive positions but you go and call 10 defenders, more than 2 for each positions. But they call 5 central midfielders for 3 central midfield positions. It’s called madness.Enugu II wrote: ↑Sat Jun 04, 2022 1:49 pmSwiftFlex Swift wrote: ↑Sat Jun 04, 2022 11:05 amWow 10 defenders….. I don’t think it’s fair to suggest that Peseiro drop Musa without assessing him up close first. That’s a decision he (Peseiro) would make after the set of games this June, and after having seen what he has to offer. Musa remains a legend and no new coach would dump a player like that without seeing them up close. A lot of unrealistic and unreasonable line of thoughts floating about in this thread.

Every list should carry atleast 4 names of players for the future so they can start blending into the team and getting international exposure. I expected to see 4 of these guys in the team.
Amoo - Denmark
Alhassan - Belgium
Onyedika - Denmark
Abdulrazaq - Sweden
Apeh - Spain, segunda
Tijani - Austria
Sor - Slavia Prague

Go look at the records my friend. Not sentiments. Compare Musa’s record with the national team to the people we parade as our football legends. There no doubt about Musa's status as a legend. At the highest level of competition -- the World Cup -- how many Nigerians have even scored tow goals!!!! Yet Musa, alone, has four. If he isn't a legend, who is among Nigerian players?Goalgetter wrote: ↑Sat Jun 04, 2022 3:58 pmGo look at the records my friend. Not sentiments. Alhassan blew his chances by not showing up for the friendlies in America. I don't know what his reasons are but I am disappointed because many called for his inclusion and when the opportunity finally comes, he's nowhere to be found!
I am happy

Have you considered that it is you and others that football may have left behind? Think. These coaches gave a concept in mind that guides their decisions. These coaches have seen the players. I am referring to Gernot Rohr and now Peseiro. Yet you think you know better than them?

I respect Musa’s services but ain’t nobody scared of him in Argentina. He scored 2 goals in a match that Argentina even if they lost would still have qualified. Y’all need to come down with this Legend talk. Musa scored another 2 goals against a poor Iceland team. I tip my cap to him for those achievements but when he doesn’t score he is pretty much invincible. Let’s not forget that in both WC’s he didn’t do jack against Iran, Bosnia, Croatia, France & Argentina(last WC).

Iceland was not it, right? Yet they beat Argentina? Not so? Bros, when you guys do this analysis remember that we are not all at sea or brainless. We have ability to think and analyze.

First of all, Iceland didn’t beat Argentina, they tied 1-1. I watched that match and Argentina had like 80% possession and 4x Icelands shot in goal.Enugu II wrote: ↑Sat Jun 04, 2022 8:57 pmPackerlandpackerland wrote: ↑Sat Jun 04, 2022 8:51 pmWhy should Argentina be scared? Secondly, When it comes to our players performance at WC, Musa is at the top followed by Amokachi & Amunike. With that said, as of June 4, 2022, Musa is not on the team by merit. He’s not young so you’re not carrying him for grooming, his pace is gone and he’s not lighting it up at club. He is better as a striker but we are stacked in that position.
Finally, he hasn’t done jack in 4 yrs and was still getting picked when he was clubless. You think southgate or Deschamp pick players based on past heroics? And for those that say it’s not his fault that every coach is picking him, that proves that someone on the top or one of our local assistants are imposing/recommending him.
