We have a goal keeper by the name of Jonathan Rasheed who is first choice keeper in the Swedish first division.
He has indicated his interest in playing for Nigeria.

Stuck in Sweden for all his career, and never got a move to the top clubs in Sweden.

Not a national teal level team level player in my opinion.

The credible alternatives to Uzoho and Okoye are Noah Atubolu, Arthur Okonkwo, Tobias Lawal and hopefully, the top 2 or 3 keepers from the NPFL. Thankfully, the league is back on TV/Online, so we are seeing things almost real time.

Adeleye has not messed up, so he should be in the mix, and the top 3 from this pool should make the team.

Arthur Okonkwo in the 4th division can’t be more NT caliber than this guy in 1st division?!

Athur Okonkwo is young and played in a Europa league caliber team last season. His decision to move to 4th division Wrexham this season is strange… but also strategic

Where are his competition playing all their career? Better leagues? Better clubs?

At a minimum, he should be looked at!

But this guy is ‘strategically’ getting PT (starting) in a div 1 team and doesn’t have to go to div 4, so why would Okonkwo be more of NT fit right now? Maybe in the future once jungle mature but right now hell naw…

I beg to differ, he is a goal keeper that is the first choice in a decent enough European league. His goal keeping fundamentals must be solid. He is experienced and is a rather big lump.

What other true alternatives do we have at the moment?

He deserves a look in.

I would be in favor of trying Arthur Okonkwo or Ovie Ejeheri before Rasheed because the former are much younger. However, I'm not opposed to inviting Rasheed, tho he's 31 and is still playing in Sweden.

Anyone playing regularly is better than a bench warmer in Cyprus. At 31, I presume he would be mature, appreciate an international call up, late in his career! Not the young ones, who cost us WC qualification and AfCon QF exit, yet they still dey talk rubbish on the social media.
