JOE ECHEGINI JOINS JUVENTUS!
Juventus is delighted to announce the signing of Jennifer "Joe" Echegini, the latest addition to Joe Montemurro's Juventus Women team. The 22-year-old midfielder, born in the Netherlands and raised in England, plays for the Nigeria national team and arrives at Juventus from Florida, in the United States of America. She has signed a contract until 30 June 2026, and will wear the number 26 shirt.
Echegini was a key player for the Florida State Seminoles, with whom she played over the last few seasons, gaining everyone's attention thanks to her talent while also earning a call-up to the senior Nigeria national team, making the squad for last year's World Cup.
There are several statistics and awards to exemplify what Echegini has achieved in the United States. Let's start with the most recent: she was among the finalists of the MAC Hermann, the most prestigious award in US university football. In December, however, she obtained another highly valuable recognition, winning the Honda Sport Award for women's football. She was then MVP of the ACC Tournament, “ACC Offensive Player of the Year” and named to the “United Soccer Coaches First Team All-American”. And this list could no doubt continue to grow in Italy.
She see out 2023 with 16 goals, the eighth best result ever in the history of her university, and was the first among the ranks of the Florida State Seminoles to reach double figures in goals for multiple seasons in a row since Deyna Castellanos, now the number 10 at Manchester City. She is set to now continue her growth path in black and white, with the desire to pursue and achieve the great objectives that Juventus Women have set their sights on.
Joe will take part in official club activity as soon as her move is completed.
Welcome to Juventus, Joe! We look forward to seeing you on the pitch soon!

This girl is quality just from the substitute appearances she had at the WC.

Obviously you do not follow the Super Falcons if you saw that name and thought it was a man. Okay oooo.EMIR KONGI JAFFI JOFFA wrote: ↑Thu Jan 04, 2024 6:13 pm I bin think say na man thinking we don hammer in defense or MF. Happy for her but abeg no dey do us this kin thing.
The difficulties of statistical thinking describes a puzzling limitation of our mind: our excessive confidence in what we believe we know, and our apparent inability to acknowledge the full extent of our ignorance and the uncertainty of the world we live in. We are prone to overestimate how much we understand about the world and to underestimate the role of chance in events -- Daniel Kahneman (2011), Winner of the Nobel Prize in Economics

This girl is one of the best players we have in the super falcons.
I wonder why she's always played from the bench.
She's a serious baller. Attacks, defends and scores goals too.

Re: JOE ECHEGINI JOINS JUVENTUS!
Initially I was somehow confusing her with Esther Okoronkwo, who I don’t think is very good.
But Echegini is a baller.

I suspect the poster’s deliberate intent was to make us think he was referring to a man because of the rather misleading title. Everyone here knows unambiguously who Jennifer Echegini is… but few, if any at all, would recognize that Joe Echegini refers to the exact same person

Are you high??? Esther Okoronkwo is one of our best forwards in the falcons. If she was fit for the WAFCON Nigeria wins it. If she was 100% at the WWC Nigeria beats England.

Re: JOE ECHEGINI JOINS JUVENTUS!
I won’t go that far but she’s a certified baller. Like I said before, the Falcons will win the WWC before the SE even makes it to the quarterfinals of the WC. The talent is there from Gk to Defense to midfield to forwards. No wonder Randy wants to come back despite the insults he got from our media guy.bret- hart wrote: ↑Thu Jan 04, 2024 10:53 pmAre you high??? Re: JOE ECHEGINI JOINS JUVENTUS!
Esther Okoronkwo is the best finisher in the Falcons. Very clinical. The only issue is we tend to play her out wide, while she's a pure number 9. Again she was recovering from a bad ACL. She has effectively replaced Oparanozie.
Re: JOE ECHEGINI JOINS JUVENTUS!
Well, my only viewing of her was in the WWC.Adisboy wrote: ↑Fri Jan 05, 2024 7:44 pmEsther Okoronkwo is the best finisher in the Falcons. Very clinical. If she was only just recovering from an ACL injury then it is understandable that she wasn’t all that.
I never write a player off like they tend to do on these pages.
I’m happy to hear she’s much better than she was at the WWC..

Do you even know where the NWSL is ranked in women’s league? You may need to consult with google. There is a reason the USA have won the World Cup more than any other nations.
