No Tears for Kenneth Omeruo?
Kenneth Omeruo must take the title ... the Forgotten man. How come no one has even missed a heartbeat given that he was not named in this squad when several others are missing through injuries? DISCUSS....
The difficulties of statistical thinking describes a puzzling limitation of our mind: our excessive confidence in what we believe we know, and our apparent inability to acknowledge the full extent of our ignorance and the uncertainty of the world we live in. We are prone to overestimate how much we understand about the world and to underestimate the role of chance in events -- Daniel Kahneman (2011), Winner of the Nobel Prize in Economics

He’s injured. He’s still the 2nd best RCD we have after Ekong.
OCCUPY NFF!!
Re: No Tears for Kenneth Omeruo?
Omeruo is another deadweight who is slow and past it, the way you guys glorify washed up players on here is baffling. We should be talking about the likes of Benjamin Federick, Ogbu, Jordan for goodness sake.

Past it? He’s 30yrs old still and playing regularly for a decent club, that’s not past it. He still has a role to play in SE.

Re: No Tears for Kenneth Omeruo?
I saw enough of Omeruo in the Mali game to know homeboy is done and dusted, the second Mali goal where he got spurned and beat for pace as he trudged behind in a futile foot-race like an old man summed it up. Granted it was just a friendly but the optics just didn't look good. Imagine what those pacey Southy boys would have done to him in defence.EMIR KONGI JAFFI JOFFA wrote: ↑Sat May 25, 2024 5:06 amPast it? Ironically the agent Taminu we mock here looked far more composed and more athletic against Ghana, also played the ball from the back intelligently.
The ONLY player we will truly miss in defence is EKONG.

Troost-Ekong and Omeruo have the same age, they are both 30 years old.Tobi17 wrote: ↑Sat May 25, 2024 5:14 amI saw enough of Omeruo in the Mali game to know homeboy is done and dusted, the second Mali goal where he got spurned and beat for pace as he trudged behind in a futile foot-race like an old man summed it up. Personally I think that they are at the same level, none of them is totally past, but also none of them is in their best shape.
Re: No Tears for Kenneth Omeruo?
Did you just notice his problem with pace? He had an issue with even at his debut and it was previously mentioned here. It isn't die to age.Tobi17 wrote: ↑Sat May 25, 2024 5:14 amI saw enough of Omeruo in the Mali game to know homeboy is done and dusted, the second Mali goal where he got spurned and beat for pace as he trudged behind in a futile foot-race like an old man summed it up. Kenneth has many flaws. His lack of pace is the most noticeable, but his reaction and anticipation have always been slower than average. He hasn't improved much over the years, so it's time to move on from him.
Let's get Ogbu, Tanimu, and Frederick some SE experience!
