Even as a former Arsenal fan, I respect all these Players

Scholes, Giggs, Ole Gunner - Legends!
Buhari, whose two terms thankfully ground to a constitutional halt in May. (One thing both democracies have going for them is that their leaders, however bad, have only two terms to swing the wrecking ball.) Under Buhari, growth per head also plunged to 0. An economic agenda drawn from the dusty pages of a 1970s protectionist handbook failed to do the trick. Despite Buhari’s promise to tame terrorism and criminality, violence flourished. Despite his reputation for probity, corruption swirled. FT

He certainly changed his game in his 30s (fewer bombing runs into the box, fewer goals) to focus more on being a deep lying playmaker. England did not get the best out of him by playing him on the left to accommodate Gerrard, Butt, Hargreaves and Lampard! Then everyone started appreciating the incredible range and accuracy of his passing (so accurate that his Man U team-mates nicknamed him "Sat-Nav" because his passes can get to any location!).

The greatest testament to Scholes is the reverance that Barcelona's greats like Xavi, Messi, Guardionla and Iniesta have for him. Messi said that lessons at Barcelona's academy focused on Scholes as the role model of what a midfield player should be! Just before Scholes "retired", Guardiola said he wished there was a way he could get him to change his mind and play for Barcelona for a bit before hanging up his boots.

MOVE TO WORLD FOOTBALL

Had Giggs not had an affair with his brother's wife (!) or had the domestic assault charge with his girlfriend, he would rightly be remembered as the greatest Premier League footballer of all time.

...is that why the name was changed from Wilson to Giggs?

Wilson is his dad's name. Giggs is his mother's name. Giggs' relationship with his (Sierra Leone) dad suffered after his parents separated and he dropped the Wilson name and started answering his mother's surname.
